It is operated through debt: farmers borrow money to fund the next crop, recouping over a year.

The system is excellent to prevent those from whom the land was robbed to get it back. Anyone buying a SA farm must know that the principal of a loan taken to buy can not be repaid.

SA farms make enough to service a debt but not to reimburse a loan taken to buy them.

The solution: either repossession (that liberals would depict as theft) or accepting to lose money on the purchase.

Situation in China:

Liberals have a lot of problems with China. Liberals style of governance rely on division, liberals divide people and then balance power between the various groups (it is the colonial model)

China on the other hand relies on the older governing paradigm of unity.

The liberals perceive China as something to be broken and once broken, to balance out.

Liberals do not stay away from any means to break China apart. Including if needed engineering starvation in China.

So conclusion:

the liberals wont step away from starving China, China will keep looking to secure food resources. While the servicing the debt farm model is effective in ensuring farms remain in the hands of the colonizers even after the socalled colonization end , China has enough muscle to buy farms at a loss.
