The following media report about the issue is relevant:-

"A  shortage of diesel fuel is spreading across the United States, with one company launching an emergency delivery protocol, requesting a 72-hour advance notice from clients to be able to make the delivery.

Per a Bloomberg report, fuel supplier Mansfield Energy wrote in a note to its clients that “conditions are rapidly devolving” and “At times, carriers are having to visit multiple terminals to find supply, which delays deliveries and strains local trucking capacity.”

U.S. diesel fuel stocks have been on a stable decline for months, reaching the lowest level since 2008 as of October. Currently, the United States only has 25 days of diesel supply in reserve.

Bloomberg noted in its report that the Colonial Pipeline has been fully booked to carry diesel fuel and other distillates to the East Coast, which should ease the supply pressure but it will take a while, with the first deliveries expected in early November.

Earlier this week, Goldman Sachs warned that the diesel shortage, which is not confined to the U.S. only but is spreading in Europe as well, will cause higher fuel prices this winter.

In the U.S., the bank said, underinvestment in refining capacity and refinery closures and operation disruptions have all contributed to the scarcity of refined oil products this year but especially diesel, Bloomberg reported.

“Refining constraints can create a sharp wedge between where crude and product markets clear, making policy management of crude supply less effective at controlling consumer prices,” the bank’s analysts wrote in a note.

Meanwhile, the scarcity of diesel has prompted traders to start diverting cargoes with the fuel that were originally bound for Europe, Reuters reported earlier this month.    Tanker tracking data showed that at least two tankers with some 90,000 tons of diesel and jet fuel that were initially bound for Europe were diverted toward the U.S. East Coast."

From the above there are serious question marks on the issue.    There are allegations that the US is in danger of running out of Diesel in 21 days and the total Diesel Strategic stockpile is down to enough diesel being available to meet needs of the country as a whole for 6 hours  only?

If that be the case the US economy is in serious danger of total collapse.   Farm production will be basically destroyed without mechanization using diesel - transport of goods will come to a dead stop - and shops will run out of goods within 2 days after the crisis to be expected starts.

I gained the impression that the Democrats want to create a total meltdown - which would allow for them taking over total control of the US Government and establish a one-party state based on a national emergency and allowing them to ban opposition to them.    They are downplaying the crisis with specific aims - knowing a crisis will start before the new House is sworn in and the Senators take their seats in early January 2023.

Hahaha….you should write a book. Fiction of course and you need somebody to sort the grammar. But the plot is intriguing.

I am joking about the Democratic Party approach - but they have some believe in them being the holy grail of politics.    The crooked Bill promoting election fraud - ie registering as voter and voting without identification - is aimed at that type of thing.

As to the diesel issue - is the media report quoted substantiated by fact or media fiction?

In South Africa the situation is critical as to diesel available as well with price rises already approved by Government which will cost people a lot extra when it comes to groceries and living costs due to diesel shortage and cost implications.

Nov 01, 2022, 18:48 will not really run out, but there will be sporadic shortages and the prices will go up.

So DumbMike, was Tucker Carlson right or wrong? Will that stop him from spouting more BS or you believing the next batch of BS? Check your sources, if they are frequently wrong- change them.

Actually, Mike is on point here.

Carlson raised the issue - but quoted a Bloomberg report as a basis for discussion of the issue.   However,  Biden thinks cutting of energy is no problem  at all or that is what his crooked puppet-masters think anyway.   .

You talk as if there is a moral difference between Republicans and Democrats. There isn’t, they all feed at the public trough….their beliefs are shaped by what gets them elected. If most of these guys had a power base in the other camp rather than their own, their views would flip in a heartbeat.
