There are a number of issues the Pelosi select cxommittee did that can land the members of the Committtee to end up in jail as a result of causing major problems for Committe memebrs especially. There were thousands of documents submitted to the said Committee and they destroyed those after coming up with their report. The evidence from the security cameras were hidden from the public and afterwards not used in subsequent courtt cases.
It was the destruction of the documentary evidence submitted to the January 6 Committeee that was a serious breach of Law and the destructio ncame to light when Smith laid charges against Trump based on the January 6 report. It is clear that destruction of documentation by legislature members are criminal offense and the members of the January 6 Committee is in serious trouble. They can face jail terms of up to 20 years as a result.
It is very likely that as a result the Smith case against Trump would collapse as well since his charges are entirely absed on the January 6 Committee "findings" .
