Have you watched it?
Western thinking people, unless they are steeped in independent thinking probably struggle to grasp it.
This is a film that stretches the intellectual mind to the fullest.
The Russian "paranoia" that has led them to believe "that war is eternal, that the mysterious "beast" is always lurking in the forest. The symbolising of "Beast" with an undestroyable mystical German Tiger Tank on the Russian Front against the T34 -76 mm Russian Tank.
The Russian mindset has developed over centuries of war, different concepts of God, Satan,philosophies, religion, politics and ideologies...ie Russian Orthodox Church, Darwin, Karl Marx Communism etc, which subconsciously has resulted in a skepticism, a distrust of the West.
The film ends in Berlin, scenes of ruined buildings and captured German soldiers.and a scene of Hitler,in Satanic surroundings...war is eternal, and the Russian tank officer.
It will disturb most minds, but it certainly gets one thinking.
It is brilliant...certainly outclasses anything created in Hollywood, except perhaps, Schlindlers List but that's an entirely different theme.
