Well by contrast Mike we are having a warm period in Chicago....I played golf on the 23rd of December, the latest I have played into a Chicago winter. Distinguishing any supposed effects of a 1.2 degree increase since the Industrial Revolution from natural fluctuations is almost impossible.
It can only be found in the numbers, if they are honestly gathered and presented. Global warming is possible theoretically, but I haven’t seen any convincing empirical back up yet.

We are now in mid-January - in other words virtually halfway through simmer and i remains cloudy an cool If we had more than 5 days thus far when the temperature was 27C and higher it would be a lot, Frequent light rain seems to be our forte this year,
Maybe that is why there is a resurgence of virus infections in the Garden Route area.
