During the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump relentlessly attacked President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on the economy — blaming both of them for post-pandemic inflation in the United States. And the message resonated with enough voters for Trump to pull off a narrow victory over Harris.

According to the Cook Political Report, Trump defeated Harris by roughly 1.5 or 1.6 percent in the popular vote and picked up 312 electoral votes compared to 226 for the vice president.

A victory of 1.5 or 1.6 percent is hardly a "landslide," as Trump's allies have been claiming. But it's a victory nonetheless, and Trump will be sworn in for a nonconsecutive second term on January 20, 2025.

Some of Biden's supporters have argued that history will be kind to the outgoing president — not unlike the kind words for the late President George H.W. Bush after he lost the 1992 election to President Bill Clinton. And history, they argue, will remember Biden's job-creation record and the low unemployment of his presidency.

In October, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), U.S. unemployment was 4.1 percent.

In a December 2 post on X, formerly Twitter, Alex Armlovich — a senior housing analyst for the Niskanen Center — praised Biden's record on creating manufacturing jobs. And he made his point by tweeting a chart from Joey Politano, who publishes a financial newsletter.

Armlovich tweeted, "This rise in US manufacturing construction spend via @JosephPolitano is absolutely mindblowing. So many CHIPS & IRA-fueled factories are about to start opening in January you're not gonna believe it."

In a separate tweet, Armlovich laments that Trump, in 2025, will get the credit for Biden's economic achievements.

Armlovich predicts, "Trump's name will be on every IIJA, CHIPS, & IRA ribbon cut b/c key Dem factions thought NEPA red tape was more important than permitting reform to finish projects in <4 yrs FDR didn't respond to the 1930s by saying 'Mussolini is too fast we need NEPA.' He just started building."

Hahaha….there were 13 million manufacturing jobs in 2024. And there were 13 million manufacturing jobs in 1945. This number has been dropping like a stone since 1979 when it peaked….because productivity has increased faster than output.

And that’s been a part of keeping inflation in check. Why not a big part? Well manufacturing jobs are only 12% of overall employment.

I know you are hurting that ‘your girl’ didn’t make it Denny, but nice a story as this makes, it’s largely irrelevant,

``Biden wil b remembered as the worst and most corupt Presidet in the history of the US A.  His pardoning of Hunter fo all crimes committed over a ten year peiod is to protect hunter - as bag boy of the Biden crime family because such n invesigation will implcate Biden in bribery and corruption.

By the way Denny at the end of 2019 there were 12,8  million mnufacturig jobs in the USA  and last  year there were 13 million. - that is if teh employment report of the Biden Administration is to be believed,    Evey month there was  report on nw jobs created and the next month it claimed it was an over-estimate.

The real increase in jobs were in the bloated Federal Governemnt dministration andis likely to e dealt ith ahrshy by DOGE.   The cost of that runs into billions of dollars and the target of fruitless and fraudulent expenditure is going  to target $2 trilion.    The latet audit report is that Federal Government Departments could not be accout for - the amount mentioned being $233  billion dolars - bu then there are a urther $80 bilion similar expedenditure by he Defense Force expose in reent audits,

Whatever the Biden Administration came u with is BS.   Even DP House and Senate members now uddenly suppored the DOGE investigaion and  even open public enemies of Trmp came p with reports on where hings went wrong.    The fact is that some Federal Aencies will be abolished -eg Eduation - which is a State fucntion and not a Federal one - the aim of which solly was to promte Stalinist indctrination f school chikdren.    Tens of thoads of regulains tht in act undermining theeconmy of he US will be withdrawn and the administrators appointed to adminite hm will be redundent so there services will be ended,

As an ex-public servat I kno how public srvnts function and I support the DOGE project of Trump 1000%.    I hope they clear out the BS and get the US  economy functioning again.
