Putin gives update on newest Sarmat ICBM deploymen

The Russian president says the first Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile will enter combat duty by the end of 2022
Putin gives update on newest Sarmat ICBM deployment

Russia’s newest Sarmat nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) will be deployed in 2022, President Vladimir Putin has said.

“We have successfully tested the Sarmat heavy intercontinental ballistic missile. According to the plan, the first such system will enter combat duty at the end of the year,” Putin said in an address to graduating cadets on Tuesday.

The Sarmat was test-fired in April.

The missile will replace the older Voyevoda systems, also known by the NATO reporting name, SS-18 Satan.

Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian space agency, Roscosmos, said in April that the Sarmat, dubbed ‘Satan 2’, is the most powerful missile of its class in terms of range and warheads. It was designed to be “invincible” to all existing air defenses, he said.

Rogozin added that Sarmats are much faster than Voyevodas and “can strike targets at virtually unlimited range.”

Colonel General Sergey Karakayev, the commander of Russia’s Strategic Rocket Forces, announced this month that modernization with top-notch combat-ready missiles, including the Sarmat and the Avangard hypersonic glide weapon, will reach 86% by the end of 2022.

The state-of-the-art missile is also being prepared for new tests, Russia’s space chief says
Russia gears up for mass production of Sarmat ICBM – Roscosmos

Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency, said on Tuesday that the new Sarmat nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is being prepared for a series of tests and mass production.

The world’s most powerful global-range nuclear-tipped missile is being prepared for new tests and serial production,” Rogozin wrote on Telegram.

In early July, the Roscosmos chief inspected the Krasmash plant in the city of Krasnoyarsk in eastern Siberia to check on the efforts to continue testing and ensure that serial production is successfully launched.

In May, he spoke about the Sarmat’s offensive capabilities, saying that “it can demolish half of the coast of some large continent” should a nation decide to take an aggressive stance towards Russia.

The Sarmat ICBM was first successfully test-launched on April 20 from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Arkhangelsk Region. The new missile is expected to enter active combat duty by the end of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in late June.

The ICBM is set to replace the older Voyevoda systems, also known by the NATO reporting name ‘SS-18 Satan’. According to earlier statement from Rogozin, the Sarmat, dubbed the ‘Satan 2’, is the most powerful missile of its class in terms of range and warheads, and is designed to be “invincible” to all existing air defenses.

And?

You realize Russia has for decade the power to wipe out all life on earth with its nuclear weapons, just like the USA. In the event of a nuclear war both sides would launch hundreds if not thousands of nukes and neither side has the capability to shoot enough of them down to stop themselves from being destroyed.

That missile changes nothing except maybe allows Russia to strike a country with slightly more efficiency.

As long as there's broadly popular support among the citizens of the West and western aligned countries then they will continue to send weapons to Ukraine and ignore Russia's sabre rattling.

Jul 13, 2022, 10:19

Yeah.... just like that much vaunted Russian anti missile system which has resulted in a complete and utter flop for the Russian military.... and which has quite rightly heavily embarrassed Putin in the last week alone.....

Jul 13, 2022, 11:31

The West will continue to support Democracy, which means providing Ukraine with more weapons and more sanctions for Russia.

Russia has been lucky that energy prices have been high, otherwise their one-trick pony economy would already be screwed.
Once energy prices drop, they are toast.

Jul 13, 2022, 11:59

If this war drags on Putin will be toast already it's dragged on for much longer than Putin anticipated. He's now reverting to sabre rattling which is a clear sign that he's desperate to save face.

The West will continue to support democrcy opines poor sharktwit!

So The CIA and State department launched (In 2014 if  memory serves) a coup to unseat a pro Russian duly elected president of the Ukraine.  That's democrazy according to this half baked nutter.

Then Zelensky bans all opposition parties. Then he closes down all news outlets so only the state news is allowed. Then he kicks out western nation ambassadors.

Whata great democracy! Then there is also the fact that Ukraine is the 4th  most corrupt nation on earth. How much money laundering has happened sending funds back to US and EU globalist elites.

There there is the murder of over 14,000 Russian speaking Ukrainians in the Donbass  who appealed to Putin to stop the ongoing massacres. Then we have the very clear proof that The Ukrainian armed forces and government are riddles with Nazis.

Then we have the fact that the corrupt degenerate Zelenksy is making a fortune.

Bwahahahahaha some democracy.

Another uncomfortable fact is that the Russians have won the war with ease. Further the Russian ruble is now  the strongest currency in the world.

Putin has outplayed the Globalist every step of the way.

Lastly always remember it was the Globalist controlled EU and USA that started caused this war. 100% their fault.

No China Joe has got to beg Venezuela, Iran and Saudi Arabia for oil! Bwahahahahahahhaha how absolutely embarrassing. More so of course because the USA has the largest oil reserves in the world.

The high gasoline price in the USA is one of the reason the latest polls shows Biden at 29% approval. Which means, given the bias in these polls he is very likely in the low twenties! An utter disaster.

The demonrats are heading for an election disaster. Their only hope it election fraud on an unprecedented scale. What they did in 2020 will not be enough.

And yes they have serious demonic problems. Their screaming they love to kill babies, their LGBT perversions and their hate for America is now on full display. Its demonic for sure.

You actually cant make all this BS up. AND of course you have to be profoundly stupid to still be believing the propaganda the collapsing MSM dish up.

As the US and its allies imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia, a new economic and cultural Iron Curtain is descending on the European continent. While the unilateral sanctions continue to hurt Europe and the world at large, the US has launched a new campaign to isolate Russia in international organizations.

On April 7, the United Nations General Assembly voted to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council, after the US accused Russian troops of torturing and killing Ukrainian civilians in the town of Bucha. The US also tried to put pressure on Indonesia, which holds the G20 Presidency this year, to kick Russia out of G20 forum of major economies of the world. To the disappointment of the US, however, Indonesia insisted on inviting President Putin to the G20 Summit. But for the US and its Western allies, there is no shortage of occasions for them to display rudeness and arrogance: having their representatives walk out of the G20 finance ministers' meeting when the Russian delegate began to speak. On the Latin America front, supported by the US, the Organization of American States recently approved suspension of Russia's observer status. The US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman even went so far as to indicate that the US has been "investigating the prospects" of expelling Russia as one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Behind the attempts to exclude Russia from all international organizations and turn Russia into the "pariah on the international stage" as President Biden put it, the real purpose of the US is to maintain its hegemony in international affairs. But the hypocrisy is that the country itself is the biggest transgressor of international rules.

Despite its own track record of mass killing and human rights violations, the US constantly criticizes the human rights situation of other countries, a typical act of double standards. From Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan to Libya, Somalia and Syria, the US started 10 wars between 1989 and 2017 and caused 6 million casualties. From the end of World War II in 1945 to 2001, among the 248 armed conflicts that occurred in 153 regions of the world, 201 were initiated by the US. A report from Brown University revealed that the wars launched by the US in the two decades following the 9/11 terrorist attack killed more than 900,000 people. In June 2018, the US pulled out of the Human Rights Council, calling it a "cesspool of political bias" and "hypocritical body" that "makes a mockery of human rights". As it rejoined the council this year, the US not only failed to reflect upon its own human rights record and take concrete steps to improve it, but instead expelled Russia from the body out of political bias and purpose.

Obsessed with its self-conceived "exceptionalism", the US keeps criticizing others for violating international law while applying international rules selectively or placing its own "house rules" above international law.?The US asks others to follow the "rules-based order", but tramples on international rules and withdraws from international organizations at will itself, as evidenced by its unilateral military intervention or wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, as well as its pulling out of UNESCO, JCPOA, and the Paris Agreement. It also puts domestic law above international law, and has exercised long-arm jurisdiction and imposed economic sanctions against Russia, Iran and the DPRK, which seriously damaged the fair and just international trade environment. The US is undoing its own credibility and reputation and undermining international order by bringing the world back to the era of a lawless jungle. Just as Noam Chomsky pointed out, "We're a rogue state, the leading rogue state by a huge dimension—nobody's even close. And yet we can call for war crimes trials of others, without batting an eyelash."

As the conflict in Ukraine continues, negotiation rather than confrontation is the only way out. US unilateral sanctions against Russia are illegal and not authorized by the United Nations. Excluding Russia, a permanent member of UN Security Council and a nuclear power, from international organizations is by no means a constructive move. The spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric once warned that such a move will set "a dangerous precedent." After all, there are already enough lessons from the wishful attempts to provoke confrontation and division and preserve hegemony.

And yes, we allow ourselves to be utterly deceived by the disgusting propaganda that favours only one narrative and all the fake reports of the war's progression giving stupid expectations of the outcome.

Although I might disagree with some on this issue, 2 things just simply cannot be overlooked, namely Ukraine has not a hope in hell of winning the battle and that Putin will never accept this and has plenty of reserve and weapons.

The supply of weapons will NOT change the outcome, only prolong it and risk far more possibilities of more destructive weapons.

Ofcourse if this happens then their can only be WW3...pouring more and more weapons will set this up...it must not reach a point where there is no other alternative.

Jul 13, 2022, 14:42

Yeah.... just like that much vaunted Russian anti missile system which has resulted in a complete and utter flop for the Russian military.... and which has quite rightly heavily embarrassed Putin in the last week alone.....

Apparently the reason Russia was forced to evacuate Snake island is that Ukraine was able to get a single western supplied artillery system in place that had the range to hit the island and the Russian defense systems was completely incapable of hitting what effectively amounted to dumb artillery shells that just pummeled the island which is completely exposed and leaves the defenders no where to take shelter. Ironically they have may have been able to stop more sophisticated weapons like missiles but not artillery.

In general it seems the Ukrainian strategy at the moment is too try to target Russian artillery ammunition dumps well behind the front lines with the limited numbers of western supplied artillery systems that have greater range than the Russian systems. They have 20-30 in last few weeks I believe.

Russia has been lucky that energy prices have been high, otherwise their one-trick pony economy would already be screwed.
Once energy prices drop, they are toast.

Towards the end of the year the reduction in sales to Europe will offset high energy prices. End of the year and next year is going be to be very tough for Russia economically speaking.

Jul 13, 2022, 16:09

Well, we will certainly see. This is nothing new, for years the self-righteous, extreme hypocritical West has been chipping away at Russia and it's people. Don't worry the Russians are very resilient, in case you don't know read history, about Napoleon and the battalions of Nazi Germany that were defeated by Soviet Army and compare it with the combined armies of Great Britain and USA had to face, and they did it with success. The Battle of Stalingrad is the ultimate of pure guts, resilience and determination that I doubt will ever be repeated. They have not changed and never will...this is something they are proud of and justifiably so.

Just try to help some huge embarrassment of western bullshit media  narrative which some think are history books and gospel...just a repetition of what has been done before, unfortunately general public has an amazing ability to forget.

We now see John Bolton confessing of USA planned Coup d'etats in Venezuela and other countries, we all know this of course but it never sinks in until it comes straight out of the horses mouth. .

We'll see the duped duck and dive later. It'll be embarrassing. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

If Putin uses this monstrosity, it will mean Russia and most of the world will perish.

Submarines have nuclear bombs, so even if a country never had time to send their own nukes, the subs would.

If Putin nuked America and the UK, our subs would take out Russia. NATO allies would also take out Russia.

Enough nukes go off, and the whole world dies. Not sure how many nukes need to go off, for the contamination to spread around the whole world.

Submarines on patrol carry up to 40 nuclear warheads and up to eight operational missiles.

Only a fool would want a world war but unfortunately the fools are pushing it.

Russia will defend it's values, period and it's peoples in the Dombass to the bitter end and will never back down. That's the bottom line.

Don't spout nonsense that West has got altruistic values about the people in Ukraine, that'lie is as clear as daylight.

What was their reaction in 2014 when the killing of civilians started and approximately 14000 were murdered...none at all...this was purposely under played.

The West cares only when the narrative is changed to fool it's real hidden agendas.

The fires have been fueled by it's never ceasing disinformation agendas whilst the sales of weapons reap huge profits for Lockheed and other companies...this is the pattern we have seen over and over for decades of military "disturbances" ...it is so evil and disgusting whilst millions of poor victims starve to death as a result.

The factory of lies is a partner in these foul endeavours and responsibility being shifted to others.

Billy Joel sang a mockery  lyric, several decades about the destruction, corruption and fouls deeds of man's sins..."We didn't Start the Fire"

The irony here is good, simply because, We certainly did and it's never ending.

The problem now is that it's totally out of control and the start was caused by those who never listen and hold good to their agreements and lord it over others and blame others.

If we don't turn around and go back down then it's more than likely we'll face the ultimate.

It is very serious.

"If only Ireland actually bought any gas or oil from Russia"

Lol

Jul 15, 2022, 10:01

Only a fool would want a world war but unfortunately the fools are pushing it.

No one wants a world war, not the west and neither does Russia, but we would not be at this point but for the actions of Putin.

Russia will defend it's values, period and it's peoples in the Donbass to the bitter end and will never back down. That's the bottom line.

And the west will defend its values but aside from that point people in the Donbass are not Russia's people, plain and simple they are Ukrainian. If Russia doesn't back down the cost will be will be more many lives lost in a pointless war as well as Russia's diplomatic and economic isolation. Russia will survive of course but as a much weakened and impoverished state.

Don't spout nonsense that West has got altruistic values about the people in Ukraine, that'lie is as clear as daylight.

Across the west, the majority of the public support Ukraine and their right to defend themselves  from Russia's naked aggression. Sure in other conflicts some of them which where caused by the west the public has been indifferent but there is genuine outrage and Russia's action here.

What was their reaction in 2014 when the killing of civilians started and approximately 14000 were murdered...none at all...this was purposely under played.

This argument of 14,000 people murdered and the claims of genocide in the Donbass is complete and utter bullshit. The UN has looked into this and since the conflict began in 2014 about 14,400 people have been killed since the conflict of which about 10,900 where combatants not civilians. 4,400 of them where on Ukrainian military side and 6,500 where pro-Russian combatants. So that leaves 3,500 civilian causalities of which 298 where caused by the separatists who shot down a Malaysian Airline's aircraft. I'm sure civilians on the separatist side have been killed by Ukrainian artillery and probably some on the Ukrainian side by separatist shelling and yes I'm sure some crimes have been committed by the Ukrainian  but its no where remotely near genocide. Hell even the DRP's own report doesn't support the claim of genocide.

LOL...Stopfake Org is an Ukrainian Organisation. Hahaha.

StopFake is a Ukrainian nonprofit media organization founded in March 2014 by Ukrainian professors and students to refute Russian propaganda and fake news.[2][3][4] Although it began as a Russian and English language fact-checking organization, StopFake has grown to produce a TV show broadcast on 30 local channels, a weekly radio show, and a strong social media following.[5] StopFake has been criticized for its alleged ties to and defense of far-right and neo-Nazi groups.

More than 20 years ago whilst in Moscow and St Petersburg, I heard a few Russian people use an expression "to lie like a Ukrainian". I asked them why they say that and they said it's just an expression because they are well known for this.

Having said that I know and have met a few Ukrainian people who I liked and it's wrong to generalise anybody, nevertheless there must be some reason for this. Russian don't hate Ukrainians either, it's just the far right Neo Nazi sectors.

Jul 15, 2022, 11:45

LOL...Stopfake Org is an Ukrainian Organisation. Hahaha.

Says the man who keeps posting Russia Today content.

So the UN and DRP reports that site linked too are fake?

Can you provide any evidence what so ever that Ukrainian forces have murdered 14,000 people in the Donbass or provide evidence of genocide. Just like Russia you never do because there is none.

Russian don't hate Ukrainians either, it's just the far right Neo Nazi sectors

The whole Nazism thing is bullshit as well. Just a transparent ploy to drum up support for the war by evoking a great enemy of Russia's past.

Jul 15, 2022, 11:58

You just believe what suits your agenda...Don't worry , as I've said before , the truth always comes out in the end.

We will indeed see, who is telling the truth. Don't get my facts from any media but from those that are there, have been there and are connected, Azov most definitely exists, even your "reliable" BBC reported this before the war but now has chosen to be silent.

I'm not wasting any more time with this nonsense.

Jul 15, 2022, 12:22

You just believe what suits your agenda

LOL I'm not not the one making a claim without backing up with our evidence so don't bother trying to say I'm believe what suits my agenda. My views are based on facts and evidence not belief.

Don't worry , as I've said before , the truth always comes out in the end.

What just like the Katyn massacre? Again you're just hiding behind a parable to cover for the fact you have next to no evidence to support your view.

We will indeed see, who is telling the truth. Don't get my facts from any media but from those that are there, have been there and are connected,

You mean this sort of truth.

And Russia Today is not media?

You do realize Western media outlets have people on the ground in Ukraine and we have thousands of hours of video footage and thousands of photo's and thousands of civilian witness reports of what's happening in Ukraine.

Azov most definitely exists, even your "reliable" BBC reported this before the war but now has chosen to be silent.

When did I call the BBC reliable?

As for the BBC remaining silent, this is from the 27th of March

I'm not wasting any more time with this nonsense.

Running away just confirms you have no evidence to support your views.

There’s a commotion on a playground.

When the teacher arrives he sees the cause is two kids having a scrap.

The teacher quickly realised that he must instantly pick a side because one kid is entirely in the right and the other clearly in the wrong. Even though he doesn’t fully understand what caused the fight.

There is no middle ground. One child is evil and the other is basically the second coming.

Life is always like that, isn’t it? Clear cut. Black or white and good vs evil. I mean, it’s a total fallacy that most of human experiences exists somewhere between the two. No no no! It’s either divine or entirely evil.

People are so damn stupid.

No wonder the media has a field day with you.

ButtPlug is another Putin apologist. If it was 1935, it is very clear on this board who would support Hitler.

Sometimes arguments or war have 2 sides of the story, other times there is one clear aggressor like Hitler and Putin.

If Putin takes over Ukraine, everyone knows he will attack more countries using the same bullshit story. He will pay Russian-speaking people to start causing unrest and say that that country is killing innocent "Russians", so he has no choice but to continue de-Nazi-fi-cation. The rednecks around the world will support him.

Yes Plum, the ignorant simply don't know the truth or put it this way, they could not really care, it's far easier to go with the flow. They have no stomach or guts to find out and take the road of no resistance. Yes, the lies and false reporting are ongoing but in the end it will be revealed, it always does.

They judge people on their own assumptions which have been fed them.

The hypocrites could find out and start examining about past atrocities committed against civilians in Iraq, Libya and Yemen and the past bombing by Nato on Belgrade but they could not care.

Hypocrisy in their total indifference and they are suckers for evil lies.

The shelling of civilians by Ukrainians are far more common in Donbass and the lies and cover up.

When it all will come out in the washing, these hypocrites will duck and remain silent, nothing changes.

What is equally revolting is xenophobic and Russophobia and Blob FU too and to refer to my spouse as Rosa Kleb is a cowardly low-life tactic.

Used to respect you but no more, you are birds of feather, low-life, illbred scum like Sharkshit and Redneck. It's pity you would not say this face to face. Keyboard cowards.

Far be it for VisKop to understand that Russia isn’t Putin.

Making Russian people feel as though part of their feeling towards Ukraine is understood, if not agreed with, is a good idea ou Visser. Because the average Russian doesn’t want nuclear war anymore than you do. They know they’ll be the ultimate losers.

If you’re considering being able to pressure on Putin through his people impossible or irrelevant, then you’d be wrong on both counts.

And one doesn’t win Russian ears by calling them all evil etc etc.

The hypocrites could find out and start examining about past atrocities committed against civilians in Iraq, Libya and Yemen and the past bombing by Nato on Belgrade but they could not care.

Lets take the position that you are right and the West/Nato committed atrocities during those conflicts you listed.

What you're basically arguing is Russia should have the right to commit atrocities as well.

Absolutely the West is guilty of hypocrisy but so are you and Russia.

How long does the world have to endure Russia with their Doctor Evils wanting to hold the world hostage with nuclear bombs?

Russia needs to get their own house in order and stand up against authoritarianism, and instead embrace Democracy with the rest of Europe. They need to get politicians that are not from the KGB.

Russia has now caused a global recession, in addition to totally destroying Ukraine, and turning much of its population into refugees scattered across Europe. Sure it is Putin who is "mostly" responsible, but it is also their responsibility to select leaders who are not authoritarian.

This was after the cold war that held humanity backwards before the USSR finally collapsed. Now we have a new iron curtain that will hamper global trade, and create more nationalism and isolationism in the first world.

Maybe in 10-20 years, we will finally see the end of the Cold war... Although Russia must be punished, and they will have to pay for rebuilding Ukraine at the very least.

Jul 17, 2022, 13:17

"Russia has now caused a global recession"

Really? You sure about that? For the love of all that is holy, do some research man.

"but it is also their responsibility to select leaders who are not authoritarian."

Yes, numbnuts...and when you ostracise people, they become more likely to elect dictators. You don't bring people over to your side by rejecting them. You listen to them and find middle ground. Because if you don't listen...there's always a Hitler or Putin that will.
