As often, it makes no sense. Picture this: a poker table. One player is reported as bluffing, yet all other players fold. Can not happen. Players would call the bluff out, taking advantage of the information of the bluff.
What is happening is that Trump is not bluffing, and he is very serious about the threat he keeps making. Liberals have a fantasy of almightiness, they imagine themselves as almighty, meaning they know no restraint except their own will. Which allows them to feel themselves as benevolent since they imagine themselves as stopping themselves from destroying others. Ah, they did not kill that population while they could have, they are good people, they did not bomb this place in oblivion, they are good people. Obviously incorrect.
Trump is not bluffing and is very serious in all his threats. But the enactment of his threats is limited by the US power to implement them. The balance of power, a point liberals prefer to omit since they claim everyone is equal under their treatment.
Gazza inhabitants are threatened with displacement, the balance of power is largely tipped against them so Trump threat is going to be enacted if given the opportunity. On the other side of the range, Trump threatened China with a 100 per cent tax increase or something as tariffs and ended with a meager 10 per cent.
In both cases, Trump is very serious, he is not bluffing yet it all depends on the muscles. Liberals have been running a business of extorting the weak, farming the poor since 1776. It is all in the muscles to enforce their business.
