You apparently believe the stories spread by the Media and the Democrats about the January 6 incident.   Trump did two things the media never mentioned.  He said crowd behaviour are unpredictable and offered Pelosi National Guard soldiers to p0rotect the Capitol.- she refused the offer.

In the second instance in his speech he said they have the right to protest against the alleged ele4ction  fraud - but he told them not to break the Law in doing anything.    There is going  to be a court case on the issue and the outcome will be decisive.    The fact is that the FBI, the CIA and Pelosi a decisive role in causing  problems and if that is proven in court the repercussions for the Democrats are going to be nasty.

By the way why have only a mall minority of the prisoners arrested about the incident been charged with any criminal offences.   They are in fact held in jail for nearly three years.   Are the arrested political prisoners like the KBG and Gestapo used to do?

Trump in his fifties was actually middle of the road….he is not religious, not a racist, not an isolationist. He has a foreign wife and significant properties overseas. But like so many politicians he moved towards his support. And that base amazingly for a New Yorker, turned out to be in Fargo.

So he campaigned from the right. But there  was some hope when he got elected that he would move towards the center. That hope was blown out of the water by the Russia hoax, and he increasingly became his base..at least in the public eye.

I think Trump could have been an effective President given a fair chance. But now he is old, strident, lacking new ideas and an anathema to half the country. Not the right man in 2024.

Trump actually proposed legislation that was more centrist and aimed to help the poor and essentially also the Black and Hispanic communities.   

He would have done much more in legislation and negotiation with other countries if it was not for the Russian Hoax that aimed at undermining his administration and if ever there was a move to regime change it was that conduct base on lies.  If ever there were a case of attempted illegal regime change that was it.

Obama's trade agreement NAFTA was torn up by Trump and I really laughed when the replacement and more balanced and realistic treaty negotiated by Trump and his team was submitted by Pelosi to the House bragging how good a treaty it was and the wonderful role the Democrats played in compilation of treaty,. They played zero role at all.

The instability at present would not have been encountered if Trump was President.  I saw a video interview on ABC in which Putin dealt with specific relationship issues between the USA and Russia.    One issue raised was Biden and Putin said he is a career politician with no other experience of anything making it difficult to negotiate with him on practical issues.    

I do not think if Trump was still President there would have been no Ukraine War.   Putin was always respectful and would nor take any chances with Trump.   In the interview he was les candid about Biden - but one could see he regards Biden as a corrupt shit.  Russian was part of political corruption  in the USA and Clinton even said that she "has direct access to Putin's inner sanctum" meaning hope for corruption to continue.   Putin used US political corruption to enhance  Russia's interests.   The fact is there is less to gain from political corruption from Russia than there is from Ukraine.

If foreign companies were to stop buying American products, it would damage global corporations significantly. (Australia almost banned Facebook and Google Display in Australia )

Given the US economy has become so top-heavy with competition decreasing across industries, it would be under massive pressure.

Actually Shark,  America’s wealthy have always been very aware of the need for the whole country to prosper. There has never even been a whiff of revolution in the States because even blue collar workers believe they live in the best country on the planet.

That happens because corporations understand that workers need to feel supported….and they are. The tricky issue of auto workers and the transition to EVs has now hit the fan. A damaging strike is a possibility. But it will be worked out…and the union leaders will promote the solution.
