Most of the richest people are from more liberal areas (e.g. California, New York).
They regurgitate left wing liberals values in public and make donations to both the Democrats and Republicans- but the donations to conservative party are much higher.
For example Michael Dell makes donations of about 1 million to Democrats, but 1 billion to Republicans who offer low tax to the rich.
The Republicans offer low tax to the richest, so why would these richest want to support a left wing government that will tax them more? (or a fixed % of tax for everyone).
Conservative politicians always say that low tax is good for the economy - but they never pass on tax reductions in a Democratic manner (to all people).
If low tax is good for the economy, then reduce income tax so everyone gets the benefit of low tax policies. This can easily be made up by collecting a fixed % to everyone of tax regardless of earnings. (including the richest...)
Conservative governments usually just shift the tax from the rich onto everyone else.

As per usual it is just wishful thinking - the Democrats get billions from the ultra-rich and that is proven by who tribute to elections in the USA. In the 2020 election donated $500 billion to ensure that there are people representing him in all states and those employees made sure corrupt votes are collected and counted.
The offer of lower tax to the rich by the Republicans is a myth. Where the Republicans are different from the Democrats is that the Republicans use tax policies to support businesses development aimed at employment creation. That cause increase in job creation and higher wages for workers./
