If Crawford beats Canelo...I have a feeling he then enters the Best Ever conversation.
Two problems though...he's 37 now and going up two weight classes.
I'm such a mega fan of both those guys. Literally everything, from their personalities to their fighting styles. It's like asking a parent to choose between their kids.
Haha at least I know you're in the same boat, DA. I think the entire boxing world is.
It's totally unfair to be asked to choose between two exemplary humans beings such as Canelo and Crawford.
I'm hoping for 12 rounds of back and forth with a close decision.
I think it will come down to a close decision....
There could very well be a late knockout, and if there was one, I would have to favour Canelo to get it, being the more natural bigger guy and harder hitter, but I suspect it will go the full twelve.
However, you also don't become the first ever male boxer in the 4 belt era to become "Undisputed" in two weight diviisions, for nothing. Crawford is definitely extra special, so if anyone can beat Canelo, it has to be Terrence, but it definitely won't be a easy task....Canelo is a beast, and his relentless attacks to the body are epic.
Crawford is also possibly one of the best switch hitters to ever lace the gloves, and that is what makes him so dangerous, even for someone as good as Canelo.... I mean how do you properly or effectively train for a fighter like that..
Terrence also has the knockout power in both stances, but can he carry that up above 147lbs properly ..... who knows, and time will tell
Crawford's fight IQ and adaptability, especially during the Spence fight, hugely impressed me ....and that to me is the key to beating Canelo, but Terrence does start slow, but I'm used to him doing that in his big fights.
Crawford has also never been knocked down, or hurt in his 40 fights.... but this is a very big ask, even for a man of his experience and expertise...
If I was forced to put money on this, I would have to say it's Canelo by late stoppage.
I still watch that Crawford/Spence fight back every few months.
It shows you how clueless us fans actually are. Every pundit and pro out there was predicting a close fight. Everybody was saying there was nothing to choose between the two fighters and it would be a back and forth war.
...instead it turned out that Spence just got battered while Bud didn't have a scratch on him.
Granted it was post his car accident but Crawford made him look like an amateur.
I actually can't wait for the fight
Same here ... hopefully it ends up as one of those in contention for fight of the year

There ain't a bigger fight to be made, in any combat sport and at any weight, than this one.
Canelo is a supreme fighter with pure Mexican grit and hands of absolute iron. He hits harder than most heavyweights and doesn't walk back. I've never seen him fight defensively. He's just always waiting to unload and when he does it's absolute chaos. Easily one of my favourite fighters ever. It's simple, if you're not a Canelo fan, you're simply not a fight fan.
Crawford is the definition of boxing perfection. He's yet to face an opponent that he hasn't entirely dismantled. Errol Spence was seen as as a great, until Crawford got a hold of him and made the entire world question everything. He didn't just beat him, he knocked hm down countless times and beat him up so badly that Spence has never recovered. And that's what Crawford does. He takes the biggest names he can find and beats them up with a combination of slick movement, perfect anticipation and brutal power. Easily the best pound for pound fighter in the world at the moment, and yet a supremely humble guy.
Canelo and Crawford will meet in Vegas for what is no doubt going to be one of the best fights of this century.
Even if you're not a boxing fan, I would suggest watching this fight because it will be something special.
