Tata - here goes any chance of winning by SA

Anrich has withdrawn from the team due to a back injury I believe.

Same old team with the same old result once more I fear.

It's not just Nortje, all the front line bowlers are suffering long term injuries, Rabada is the only one standing.

On the plus side there's a few new kids of interest and with a bit of luck could right the batting problem, I'm thinking Rickelton, Pretorius, Rubin Hermann(rate him highly) Brevis and Bedingham. Of the old block I'd hold onto van der Dussen,  Maharaj, Markram, Jansen, Miller and Verryenne. Klaasen is hopelessly down on form and has been for a while, not sure about Bavuma.

Don't hold your breathe my team won't happen it's wishful thinking on my behalf.

I am watching the present 20-20 series in SA and  Klaasen was a miserable failure in all matches,   One has to just look at that series to realize how hopeless the betting really is,

A dismal season for de Kock, Klassen's and many other top players thus far.

Watching the Durban-Cape Town game and the Durban side is 30-4 shocking and a dismal failure for the Durban side once more.

Agree in all respects.

de Kock is no longer in the Protea squad.

Denny

I as watchong a 20-20 match between the Johannesburg and Eas t ern rovince teams and the first four batsmen odf the  EP eam all went out for ducks.    Amongst the ducks was Markram as well.   S o we wil have no ope tow inm in teh Chamionship series,

Ja, I watched a part of that game as well, tell you what don't know much about Hardus Viljoen but does this guy have some pace or what.....bowled one at 147/kmh, the one that got Markram was a peach @145km with just a hint of movement. I see Hen-ducks was given the miss, Brevis was promoted ahead of him so he never got to bat.

Why doesn't it surprise me hahahaha

Thankfully next year this time Hen-ducks won't even be a memory.

Batsmen I enjoy is Bedingham, Pretorius, Potgieter and Rickelton. The latter and Jansen have been the standout players. Think Brevis might be in the zone again....wait and see.

Cricket SA  has a golden rule it is harder for a layr to get out of the Protea squad than it is to get into the squad,

Mike I don't believe T20 can be used to judge a player's ability but when a player shows qualities of control, consistency, technique, fearlessness and stability then I do take notice. And I believe those qualities are consistent in the new crop of batsmen rising in rank.

Think Rickelton is right at the top, I like Rassie's BMT and commitment, he's an even better batsman than previous and besides Brevis there's Potgieter and Pretorius who will all kick on but with a touch of luck the boytjie I like a lot is Rubin Hermann.

And for a change we're seeing early 20yr olds making a mark.
