No Denny.
he’s going to play in the meadow
In that case it's safe to say he's not at Round Head Park or at MM(Malema Meadow).
Fixed!
Yeah I watched some of day one - but given our 30 for 4 I’m not bothering tomorrow
I am recording it
What a miss by the SA selectors to leave out Patterson.
Markham once more demonstrates his skill with the bat when it counts, but fear not we still have the midget at the crease.
Stubbs??????
Sad too bad the midget is all we have. But here's the thing, I had warned in a below post about the team needing a specialist batsman instead of an allrounder.....kinda think it's a thing of I told you so.
Compounding the problem is the inclusion of Ngidi who I've always regarded club level. What was needed was to put the Ozzie innings to the sword and that responsibility belonged to Ngidi and Mulder.
See for yourself.....Ngidi never looked like he was going to take a wicket. As a matter of fact he breathed life into an early Ozzie innings who were struggling under the pressure exerted by Rabada and Jansen. We've seen this movie one too many times. How anyone can't see that he is plain damn useless is beyond me.
Ngidi 8 Overs/ 0 Maidens/45 Runs/ 5.62 Economy/ 0 Wickets
Did you say Stubbs....Stubbs who?
Day 1 Belongs to Australia. |
"What a miss by the SA selectors to leave out Patterson."
Yeah...pathetic
Breeztke was the logical choice but then as an Allrounder why not Ruan de Swardt?
As a matter of interest he's become the forgotten man, I don't understand why if you look at his results of last year's tour of NZ which clashed with the SA20
A top team requires at least one superstar bat, ditto the bowling. We've got the bowler but when have we ever had a poorer batting lineup ? Ekwietnie.
This test, mebbe a 3 dayer ... over before the w/end ?
It's a gettable total on a three day old wicket. The Proteas though would have to adopt the right batting approach, I suggest they should a dig in for the long haul, patience is the key, too defensive would be disastrous, score off the loose balls, work the ones and two's and play chanceless shots.
One of them would have to score big while the rest bat around him, my money is on Bedingham, Markram should be the other batsman to chalk up a decent score.
Easier said than done though they're up against one of the best pace attacks in the history of cricket.
