All but 3 failed...
All but 3 failed...
Yes, but Markram like always fails and he's had almost a decade of investment in him now.
...which in the point I was making.
Unless you are thinking that I believe that every time a batter fails he should be dropped?
If not, then what's the point of your comment?
Ja, it's disappointing...Stiaan van Zyl also had huge potential, but was discarded after a few failures...can't understand why the persist with him...mabe because there isn't anyone clearly better trying to get into the team...I'm not too sure about what's happening in domestic provincial cricket...hardly watch international cricket any more...after having been my favorite pass time this time of the year...Boxing day day 'n all...
Yes I agree that Markram has failed to deliver on more that one occasion but so have many other players.
What about that opener from the Dolphins who normally is a first ball failure.
Shocking, surely the country must surely have some more reliable players to select for international games.
Stop the rot and select players who are capable of performing at international level.
Why is Brevis being overlooked???????

Wouldn't bet on it.
As for Markram, bit too late now but if I were him I'd have given county cricket a go for a couple of seasons.
I would get rid of Makram and insert Brevis to play all formats.
Bavuma is 34...time to go, so let's get another early twenties chap in there and have the average age of our top six closer to 23 than 27.
Bite the bullet for a couple of years and then reap the rewards for a good 8 years.
If our top 6 can look something like Stubbs, Brevis, De Zorzi, Verrynne, Bedingham, and Rickleton...then I'd be happier.
There is zero point persisting with Bavuma and Markram at this point. T
he team needs to be fully refreshed - yes, I know Bavuma got some runs recently but he's 34...so it really is time to say goodbye him and I don't want him replaced with a 28 year-old.
Makram was a class Under 20 player in 2014, but since then Markrm went backwrd in every year//
He’s a bit like Dud Allende….he can’t improvise

Why is this perpetual failure still there?
They've tried moving him up and down the order and he just keeps failing, time and time again.
I actually can't stand that we persist with this guy.
And he keeps being selected in all formats.
He bullies weak teams and can never be relied on, after 8 years of confidence in him, to ever contribute meaningfully against any decent sides.
Drop him and bring in a 22 year-old.
No point chucking good time in after bad with this guy.
