Well to me it appears to be a lost cause after the first few overs.
Quinton failing once more.
Great to see the two greats of Indian cricket in full cry once more.
But sadly I see the Indian total out of reach.

'With some sensible batting 350 is highly gettable.'
I agree somewhat but when you have the three top batsman going for a song such as todays game changes need to be made pronto.
The three should be dropped and I suggest the following.
Bring in Mulder who is able to bat and bowl as well as Captain, and at least make some runs.
Bring in Stubbs who is capable with the bat of late as the wicketkeeper.
The final selection should be one of the young batsman who can at least make a run or two.
I know I was happy to see de Kock back but he has been a complete letdown and I was wrong unfortunately.
An absolute collapse and disappointed performance from the first three so called batters.
Time to make the cut and no better time than right NOW.
If they had score some runs this game could have been won as per the performance of batters #4 on.
Pity.

Easier said than done....question is who do you replace them with? To my knowledge we don't have the quality of players to replace them.

I'm not sure about Mulder, I see a player who's taken a long time to establish himself and still he's not the finished product.
Bring in Stubbs who is capable with the bat of late as the wicketkeeper.
Well, he's another disappointment, at best still trying to prove himself.
Whilst I agree about making a change I'm sober enough to say we don't have that luxury, I don't believe we have the cattle to make an improvement.
Markram is an underperformer, has had more chances than Methuselah with a triple bypass, threw his wicket away today, as did Quinton. The pair of them cost us today's game.
Look at Rickelton’s footwork—it’s like he’s glued to the crease.

And who would that be?
I might be hopelessly wrong but I've always believed that the South African domestic competition is of a poor quality. Just have a look at the selections to the national team then tell which one of those kick on or match their domestic achievements?
And I've always believed for a young talent to kick on he should play a season or two in English cricket....Matthew Breeztke is a fine example.
And oh by the way, none of the players you suggest are top order players.
Dewald Brevis, yet to be entertained as a red ball player, is a great talent but still only a white ball player.
Denny their is some young talent that have had a game or two for the national side and made a few runs as opposed to the current top three.
Unfortunately I do not have time to follow follow the provincial teams or the SA 20/20 series so I do not have the players names on my fingertips.
But during the domestic 20/20 season their was a opener from the Cape/Paarl region that can swing the bat and I think he has had an innings or two for the 20/20 national side (open to correction) for starters.
Open to correction but we are lacking a opening pair in the shorter game and a change has to be made soon.
Potgieter surely has the firepower, is he injured or just not selected? Actually an enjoyable match with several fine innings capped by Kholi’s masterpece.
Yes he’s promising, has the makings of being a star in the future but I think they just want to be a little careful with his progress. Think he was a bit up and down in his last appearances.

Proteas need 350 to win. Seems like the expected score on a wicket offering no swing or seam. The ball was coming onto the bat nicely so perhaps India underscored let's see what happens with the Proteas at the crease. With some sensible batting 350 is highly gettable.
C'mon Dewald let it fly.
