If the Proteas can replicate their previous performance, they should stand a good chance. It's about time they collectively start believing in their abilities.

The wicket and ground are uncharted territory, as this seems to be the first international game here. Perhaps batting second might be a smart choice?

One change I'd like to see is to see Shuks slip Pretorius in to the top order.

Not sure who he should replace, but we do have an extra bowler in the team, so maybe instead of Subrayan?

Denny

I do tink the pitch can be problematic looking at the bowlng situation especially in the second half of the Tuesday match. woder whether theya re going to use he same pitch or another one especially it does not sem thee are other pitches availale,

In any event I think whomsover wins the toss should bat first. I think that Pretorius could place Stubbs and bat at 3

I would be rathe radical and open wih Brewis and move Markram down lower in the order.

Cannot understand - Is his the best side the mighty Australians can produce? Thy lost the forsst O DI by 92 rns and now this one by 84 runs. What happened to the great criicket system in Australia or are the youngsters too WOKE and LAZY to participate in sports?

Cummins and Starc were rested.....not sure but I guess Smith and one or two others as well.

Aug 23, 2025, 20:12

I am no sure that Starc is as good a bowler as he use to be - But it seems thee are not enough quality youngsters coming through. Smith is also still good in tests - but not so good in shrte versions of cricket, My argument there are not enouh top youngstes oming through - which is always a bad sign for inernational team.

I would use the match toorrow to bring the younger players to the for, Players like Mulder and Bisch are better than the oher aernatives,

I would drop both Markram and Bavuma from the playing team tomorrow and replace then with Petorius and the younger Bedingham earlier in the betting order.
