No excuses I for one never thought that the Proteas would pull it off against India when they lost the first two or three wickets.
But pleased to see some of the other ladies scoring and pull the win off.
On this showing de Klerk needs to bat higher in the squad.

Well can't knock you for having doubts about the middle to lower order batting, they have been MIA but that makes Nadine's performance even more amazing.
As I've said the girls were great against NZ, they performed like a team with a plan, their bowling and fielding was excellent and they applied pressure t'out the game. Bosch took a superb catch and Laura plucked a stunning one hander out of the air off her feet.
The Proteas are much better than what they showed against India, thought they had India on their knees but failed to finish them off, from memory they had India at 85/5 and instead of being ruthless we gave them a life.
At one time I didn't think India would bat out their 50 overs and I also didn't believe India would make a total of 200 runs.
Thought Marizanne Kapp bowled well without any luck, she could easily have taken 3 wickets.
There is hope, this team inspires but they need to make their own luck and cement their self belief.

Thought our attack lacked bite, for quite a while India were cruising setting themselves up for a big score.
Marizanne had her worst day of the tournament. Sad to see her go out on that note, she is much better than that but you know father time comes a calling.

You beauty! Take a bow, Ms. De Klerk, that was absolutely marvelous! I don’t know if Nadine will ever play a better innings, but what I do know is that she, along with me and millions of others, will never forget the incredible performance she delivered.
