Bavuma... unsold

Dean Elgar - unsold

Sep 20, 2022, 12:51

No surprise on Elgar, he’s not a short format guy.

But our wonderful skipper? How dare they now bid on him haha.

While Stubbs and Russouw both got snapped up.

Stubbs is damn good. Boy has an eye and a half.

Pollock interviewed Stubbs not long after he was bought.... he said he was sill literally shaking...

Good for Stubbs, Russouw, Classens and great for Jansen.

Surprised with Parnells price though.

The players that never went on auction did they sign up with teams prior to the event or how did they get selected by the teams?

Looking forward to the start of the SA 20.

Each team could sign 5 players prior to the auction...not sure about the exact process though...

Sep 23, 2022, 08:51

So how do they ('em who must be obeyed) ensure that all the teams are colour coordinated?

Sep 23, 2022, 10:04

Through threat of a lawsuit, harassement, and public shaming.

...Oh, and if you don't follow the racist policies and speak out too much then they may have you convicted of crimen injuria and sentenced.

But of course, when one of the blacks calls for whites to be killed, he may have to write a letter of apology.

Blobbok

Selection is based on merit only via pre-auction agreements or via auction. There are no transformation or quota mandates.

I looked at the articles on the internet - but there is no indication of prices for the fine players concerned,   It will definitely be higher than R9 million per player,

One of the five to play for Cape Town  is Baby AB Brevis,    He hit five sixes in one over playing for one of the Windie teams.

I also saw that Boucher is leaving SA cricket to become the coach of Mumbai Indians and Brevis will be one of the key players in Mumbai next year.   Cannot blame him for leaving that lode of rubbish.

Mumbai did badly last year and ended up with real duds being bought at the Auction.   A number of players will be released and replaced during the 2022 auction.   Some of the younger SA players will make big money next year.

Denny

Probably the sponsors must have told them to stop that in this turnament pr we will nit waste good money on it - probably R30 million per team  ie R150 million in total.  SA Cricket needs the money so they would agree,    .
