is the only way to describe our ladies win over Oz to bump them into another final. There was nothing iffy or wooosi about the way they went about delivering the mother of all snotklap's on an opponent who's beaten them 7 out of the 8 times they've played.

Hats off to Laura once again but take a bow Anneke who was stunning as she served up a chanceless innings, the best of her career. The bowlers need a mention as well as they collectively bowled a tight line to restrict the Ozzies to 134 runs.

Onto the final where they'll either play NZ or the WI. Our ladies have beaten the WI in a pool game but also lost to NZ by 58 runs.

Questioned by a journo of the change in the team under a new coach Laura pointed out that their batting had improved because for one that they now have a batting coach and she named Paul Adams(Gogga)...surprise surprise.

Go u good things!!!

Just watched the game on You Tube and was pleased to see the ladies pull off a win against OZ,

By time that some of the ladies managed to score a winning reply.

Does anyone know what has happened to Kapp?

Also not sure what happened to Kapp

That was probably the most dominant display of cricket our ladies have ever produced.

Looking forward to the final on Sunday

I'm not sure whether it was a selection issue but Marizanne played in all three pool games.

A win hangs with our top four bats, they will draw inspiration if Laura sticks and plays a captain's innings.

Go you lekker dinge!

AJ, hope you'll be watching the game a win will be good for the confidence going forward.

This is the time to do it.

Strong innings from us, going to be an interesting game from here.

Come on girls you have got this

Come on girls you have got this

Maybe, anywhere around the 160 mark is a competitive score so yeah you might be right but it's a flat track, no visible demons and how good is the NZ attack 1-5? Also, it's a big ground to defend.

But well done NZ who've put good runs on the board our ladies though have it to win.

Go Laura!

Well we turned that around in 3 overs, we were shit but suddenly it's turned to gold.

Got a sniff now. Going to be close I think

Oct 20, 2024, 17:40

Enough is enuff, I'm off to bed, well done NZ.

Oct 20, 2024, 17:40

We are on fire, what a turn around from a complete shit start.

Why I love cricket anything can happen and often does

Just watched the recorded game.

Great game for the ladies from NZ and yet another poor performance from the SA ladies under pressure.

Deserving winners for sure and I am pleased that it was NZ who received the Trophy.

Have a look at the over leading into Laura's dismissal and tell me if you think I'm wrong. Our opening pair were doing alright until Tazmin's dismissal, the hero(Anneke Bosch) from the semi joins Laura and chokes on 5 dot balls. Laura in frustration tries to revive the run chase and plays a gatvol shot to be dismissed.

From thereon the innings crumbles.

Denny what do you think of the present 20/20 men's SA side?

I recorded the games against India and had a quick fast forward watch yesterday.

What a disaster these games turned out to be.

Well, I prefer not to think about our cricket it tears me apart specially if I think of what went before and compare it to what we have now. Houston fixed their problem CSA is beyond fixing. It seems like CSA is being run by drunks.

Proteas were whitewashed by the Windies. Drew a series with Ireland. Lost a series to Afghanistan and now recently lost to a depleted India side on home soil.

To steal a Warnie quote.....can't bat can't bowl...... can't organize a piss up in a pub.

There is no hope.

sorry mate.

Yep I have to agree.

Just watch the ladies recorded game against England, excellent result even with all the dropped catches.

I have to say that it appears that when Kapp is in the team they seem to be more motivate.

She brings a ton of positive energy into a very average RSA ladies team.

The wicketkeeper has to be replaced. Some of her dropped catches are unbelievable as are some of the outfielders failures.

Haven't watched all of the game but there a couple of things that stuck out for me....the gal's closing out the game in the 38th over....nicely done.......of the newbies Dercksen is a most welcome addition, economical(3 per over) with a sparkling jaw line bouncer and a top speed of 120 clicks.....inexperienced rough diamond Huble who's anything but consistently accurate in both line and length but she does extract nice bounce and will need some coaching and hard work, also has nice pace at around 110 clicks. Khaka was a pleasant surprise, bowled without luck, would have had a wicket on review, got the ball to taper in and kept the run rate in check. She's a huge improver let's hope she continues.

Still need to watch the gals bat but from what I've read Laura top scored as per usual but there were useful contributions from others.

Hope this isn't going to pan out as a one off success.

Unfortunately it appears that most of the ladies fail to deliver once more.
