My prediction is that once the WC is over you’ll understand just as little about cricket as you always have.

I have to agree with you Denny.
The England side is one of the better teams that they have fielded of late and the Aussies (my favourite) appear to depend a great deal on Warner making the runs.
Plus the present Aussie captain has failed once to many times for me and was out first ball today in the England game that was washed out.
Talk is that Warner even after that "Cheating" tour to RSA is now being mentioned as the new 20 over skipper according to the BBC.
The Aussies have the talent but appear too eager to hit the leather off every ball.
But I wish them all the best and trust that they deliver in the final.
The Pakkies have a match winning opening pair at bat and are a pleasure to watch even when playing the Proteas.
Now talking about the Proteas I hold no hope for them in this WC as England, Australia, India and Pakistan are the form teams going into the tournament.
Unfortunately.
But I will enjoy watching the games even at the odd hour here in Canada.
Proteas to surprise us methinks.
Well, they're on the 4th line of betting @ 8/1, Pakistan is on the 5th line @ 8.50/1. Looks pretty close to me so who knows?
Could be interesting if the real Proteas stand up but for that to happen you need a Smithy or Faf like Kapitan.
I'll say it again, the Proteas are a well balanced side but they need to get off on a positive note if they're to succeed in winning the T20WC. There is no doubt that they have the personnel to bring home the bacon.
NZ kicking Aussie but ATM.
Aus is 50/4 in the ninth over, chasing more than 200.
What a catch for the 4th!
Well done NZ but thanks to that South African in your team big time.
One of the best knocks I have seen from him.
Talented NZ gain and once more another excellent sportsman has left the RSA shores to pursue his passion and illustrate his skills internationally for another country.
Good for you......
MCG sold out in hours with 90,000 tickets
plus an estimated world wide audience of 1billion+......hope the weather stays good. India attack getting full advantage of swing.
Don't care if we don't make the finals, that win for our boys was as good as any trophy. Smacking Aussie in aussie is bloody gold.
Pity our kiwi lad didn't get his century
Brilliant win by NZ….showing composure and flawless fielding. Imagine those two old war horses Boult and Southey still successfully plying their trade,
My aussie mate isn't talking to me lol.think I over did the ribbing, but who cares I have put up with his gloating for 10 years feels great to give it back for once.
That was as good as any rugby win in SA
One swallow doesn't make it summer but that is a lusty blow which who knows might seal the fate of the Ozzies, perhaps burnt their chances of making the top four in a worse case scenario.
Furthermore it now opens the question of the makeup of the final four to dark horses like NZ and South Africa if India, England and Pakistan are a given to qualify for three of the spots.
Ireland beat England...D&L and the rain playing a big part in this CWC.
What Kiwi lad.....he was born, raised and coached in RSA thus the great SA batting skills.
Get with it Crusty!
Yes must agree that his innings would have been even greater if he had got his 100 but it was entertaining.
In case you missed it Rossouw (Proteas) slammed a ton off 56 balls I think it was........now that was absolutely great.
Must be that rarified highveld air that gives these two players the strength to globber the bowlers plus the SA bloodline of course.
South Africa is now top of the log of Group B. Their further 2 matches are against Pakistan and the Netherlands. Could win both if they are lucky.

Should beat Netherlands. Bangladesh to play India and shd lose so with positive rubn rate should qualify.
What happened to South Africa?
Dbd you had it correct....What a surprise indeed to go down to the Netherlands.
Well Denny you selected three of the four to go to the semis and what a shock Australia are unfortunately not in that number.
Well done.
But the Proteas never appeared to be WC contenders in this series to me.
Same old, same old.
Faders.

My batsman of the prelims: Babar Azam
My bowler of the prelims: Josh Hazelwood
I felt very tempted to place the Proteas @ 4 but there are too many IF's, sure they have the players to win the tournament......IF they select the right players, IF they adopt a change in strategy, IF they front with an attitude....IF, IF....etc
Anyway, GL to them let's hope they get it right.
