Mike, I have a few question marks hanging around your team selections. Starting off with the coach, I believe he's smart.
He's grooming Mulder to bat at first drop, the team desperately needs a solid #3 and no-one is putting up their hand so good on Shukri. Markram, not sure where to bat him but at a guess maybe at 4?...even though he's skilled and talented enough to open or to bat at #3. Stubbs, not convinced he's up there for test cricket, there's plenty of hype but there's also plenty of nothing scores around his name. Verreyne has had plenty of opportunity he needs to come to the party....also, I like the fire in Coetzee's belly I just don't see him at the next level as yet, while he takes wickets he's also going for plenty of runs. Perhaps Nandi Kruger is the better option? As for future planning.....there's plenty of good allrounder/spin bowlers about and they need to prepare for Maharaj's retirement.

I am rather suprised h at nobody wrote about the team selection for the test that ended in victoy by SA in four days,
The batsmen included was Brevis, Pretorius, Bosch (his seond test) and hioefuly SAC learn from what happened. There were 3 centuries by -
Brewis made 51 runs and took a wicket as well.
Bosch took 5 wickets and was the Player of the test'
Taking into account the recent performances of the SA teams I wuld think the following should be in the ideal S A team"-
Markram
Rickelton
Pretorius
Stubbs
Brevis
Mulder
Verreyne
Bosch
Jansen
Coetzee
Rabada
The tregedy is th at in SA a team like the above will never represet SA in any match -since ot would clash with the racist policies of SAC who d noot care to play the best teama vailable to represent SA in any gormat of cricket - too many Whites make it imossible to select the above team,
