Th fact is that most international players will give their hind tooth to be in th e IPL club squads.   The reason is it is a 10 weak competition involving 14 T20 matches.  The pay is the highest of any cricket tournament in the world.

Now - what will happen to the SA players that used to play IPL cricket.   De Villiers after 13 years and making hundreds of millions from the competition retired in November 2021 from all forms of cricket - so he will not be in the auction.   Nortje will not be in the auction since he was retained by Delhi and   he would earn US$1 million in 2022.

All the other players - plus a lot of other players will be on the auction list.   So hats have a peep at some of the player that will attract top auction prices.

De Kock is likely to get his price as well.

Markram is likely to get a top sales price

Jansen is likely to get a call-up

Rabada is sure to get a good bid - but not the US$2,2 million he earned last year.

Miller has a 50:50 chance of being sold

Morris was bought in 2020 for a record sum of R32 million - but flopped in the series.

In the 2021 auction there were 38 SA players on the auction list and only 8 were sold.

Who would want Markram?

Markram played in the IPL in 2021 as a stand-in for Aussie players and did very well.     He was suggested as a priority buy by  the new two Franchises that can pick three players each from the nomination lists for the auction.  The other priority pick suggested by the Indian media is Rabada.
