Leeds United could try to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. Santos is back at his parent club Chelsea after a disappointing loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
The Brazil international defensive midfielder joined Forest on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023. The 19-year-old failed to make an impact at the City Ground and was able to make only one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season.
Journalist Jacobs said on The Debrief: “Crystal Palace are interested and there are Championship clubs as well. Ipswich may be one to watch and I think that Leeds are still in the market.
“Even though they made some replacements they lost Weston McKennie and there could be a window of opportunity there, so don’t be surprised if we see some movement with Santos and some Championship clubs.”
