According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Erling Haaland is on the verge of completing his move to Manchester City.
The belief is that the forward has informed Borussia Dortmund that he intends to leave the club at the end of the campaign, opening up the door for him to complete a transfer elsewhere as we head into the summer transfer window.
The release clause on his contract is currently set at €75 million and based on everything we know about City up to this point, paying that kind of fee isn’t exactly going to be a problem for them.
Manchester City’s CEO is said to have informed Dortmund of their intention to sign Haaland last week with the transfer fee being paid in one instalment as opposed to several.
With someone like Haaland at their disposal, there’s no telling the kind of damage City could do both domestically and in Europe.
