Went to watch a Beautiful Noise last night, the musical on Neil Diamond’s life. Good fun..and when they did Sweet Caroline all I could think of was the Blue Bools.

....
So many great songs…and all mostly in the range of a normal human, so great shower music.
...'so great shower music'....'If music be the food of love.....play on'
Sweet Caroline has become an international anthem at all kinds of sporting events. In fact, it was played at our Golden Slipper just a few weeks ago to close out the day’s racing carnival. The atmosphere was total insanity as the crowd erupted in joy.
But then there's this......
Oddly enough I have seen Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli live in the last year. Sarah twice actually. Both were outstanding …..Bocelli was a huge hit with the ladies.
You're a very, very lucky man.......the show alone even without Sarah is awesome......I've seen it three times here in Sydney. I think I read somewhere that it's been retired after playing Broadway for a number of decades.
Such a pity if true, I know of people who've seen the show night after night for a solid week!
If they ever bring it back, I guarantee I’ll fly anywhere to see it again.
I like Paul better...not his best song at all, but special to me.
....pity they didn't have a Peter...he would have been great I'm sure.
each to his own
I think we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have experienced the golden era of music, starting with wartime favorites like the Glenn Miller Band, The Rat Pack(bit before my time but...)—Frank, Sammy, and Dean—followed by Elvis and the unforgettable glory of the ’60s.

I wish I could watch this, Time to say goodbye is one of my all time favourite songs
Time to say goodbye is one of my all time favourite songs
I don't know how anyone can dislike it......no matter how many times one listens to it.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera is synonymous with Broadway theater. The seven-time Tony Award-winning musical concluded a 35-year run on Broadway with its final show at the Majestic Theatre on April 16, 2023. Inspired by Gaston Leroux’s 1910 book of the same name, Webber premiered the musical at his home in Sydmonton, England, in 1985. It later moved to London’s West End and opened on Broadway with previews beginning January 9, 1988.
