Well done Joe Biden . . .

A sincere and very well delivered speech . . . and not one attack on the petulant, self-serving pig of a man he replaced today.

What a welcome change . . . some real class and integrity instead of the repetetive bullshit we've become used to hearing from the US president.

Must just add that some of the other speeches, poems and singing acts were top class . . . especially Lady Gaga and that young woman Amanda Something who read out her inspirational poem.

All in all, a lot more classy and sophisticated than 4 years ago when the orange pig praised himself and then boasted the next day about how his crowd was bigger than Obama's (which it clearly wasn't).

Good luck Joe Biden. I suspect you'll need it.

The battle is won. The evil of Trumpism has been defeated.

It is a happy ending for America and the beginning of a new chapter in their journey going forward again.

Biden has a challenge as conspiracism is rife in America.
It is bizarre how most Trumps supporters in the US, as well as around the world are religious Christians. Not all Christians supported Trump, but the ones that did support his conspiracy reality were certainly the immoral ones. (or at best the duped ones).

Trump may also be tapping into the brainwashing capabilities used by the Church when he makes speeches. Church leaders are clearly promoting Trump in their congregations- along with corporate agendas like global warming is a hoax or a conspiracy to ruin America's economy by the "Globalist Scumbags".
Beeno, who has now disappeared - always drooled on the floor any time Trump spoke to him with that special connection.

At least Biden now has control of the house and the senate while starting his presidency. This will give him some time to bring sanity and normality back to America.

Now it is time to put the focus on getting Trump and as many of his collaborators put in jail. Once his supporters that stormed Capitol are in court (with no pardon), they will start to turn on Trump by saying they were following his orders. This will help win the Democrats win their case against him.

Jan 20, 2021, 23:11

Yep, the 'crowd size' was the first of a multitude if lies that followed Agent Orange.

Jan 20, 2021, 23:28

Oh SHIT.

Jan 20, 2021, 23:42

Oh SHIT. .......................... 4 more fckg years ..... probably 8:(

Joe Junior ! :P

Jan 21, 2021, 04:12

I will admit to a tear in my eye watching him walk down pennsylvania ave.......it's been a long wait to see the human side restored to the White House. If nothing else, class, dignity and respect will regain its presence in the highest office in the world.

Donald-Trump-Losing-Election-People-Reactions

Jan 22, 2021, 20:43

A meaningless speech and one that would be negated by actions that would have the opposite effect on the population.    Despite the Biden win the Republixans gained many seats in the House and one Republican win still has to be certified.  Once  the latter is done the Demcorat Majority in the House would be reduced from 32 to 8.

I have no faith in Biden - he would not only harden divisions in the country - but caused major economic  problems for the working class which will cause major problems for the Democrats in the 2022 mid\term elections.

Biden will not only be the most corrupt President ever elected - he will also be the most foolish one winning election.     The hate campaign of the media and leftists  against Trump - largely based on lies and deception - will not last and the voters will soon enough find out that they were misled and lied to by the Democrats and their media  supporters and the revenge will be terrible insofar as the Democrats are concerned.    Wait and see what  will inevitably happen in   the 2022 mid-term elections.

Jan 25, 2021, 07:43

The real deep problem is the decline of the American people not their political stance. Unethical standards have increased over the years and it is pitiful to see the last presidents were men of little and questionable character., Bill Clinton, George W Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

Yes indeed truly pitiful to think that such a large population boiled down a leadership choice in 2020 to such apologies of human beings as Trump and Biden.

Gone are the likes of Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Reagan and yes ofcourse they certainly were not perfect in every aspect but they were true leaders that you could respect...not by good speeches but actions.

USA  has a big "psychological problem" of what true statesmen should be...my gut feel is that Biden looks good only because Trump had no common decency, lacks integrity and is uncouth  loudmouth. USA is in for a very bumpy ride and I doubt that Biden is tough enough in character and leadership to handle it. He appears wimpy.

In 1969 Joe South sung a hit song called "The Games People Play". In 1994 this original song made a comeback in many countries.

The games people (politicians) and the status quo play has not changed but a damn-side worst than in 1969 even though 'Nam was coming to an end.

Oh the games people play now
Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now
Never saying what they mean

And they wile away the hours
In their ivory towers
Till they're covered up with flowers
In the back of a black limousine whoa

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
Talking 'bout you and me
And the games people play

Oh we make one another cry
Break a heart then we say goodbye
Cross our hearts and we hope to die
That the other was to blame whoa

Neither one will give in
So we gaze at our eight by ten
Thinking 'bout the things that might have been
And it's a dirty rotten shame whoa

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
Talking 'bout you and me
And the games people play now

Oh yeah
All right
Oh yeah
Come on

Oh
Come again

People walking up to ya
Singing glory Hallelujah
And they're tryin' to sock it to you
In the name of the Lord

They're gonna teach you how to meditate
Read your horoscope, cheat your fate
And further more to hell with hate
Come on and get on board whoah

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
Talking 'bout you and me
And the games people play
Now wait a minute

Look around tell me what you see
What's happening to you and me
God grant me the serenity
To just remember who I am whoah

'Cause you've given up your sanity
For your pride and your vanity
Turn your back on humanity
Oh and you don't give a da da da da da

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
I keep talking 'bout you and me baby
And the games people play now lala

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
I keep talking 'bout you and me
Oh and the games people play
I wonder can you come now, play

Talking 'bout you and me oh
And the games people play now

My, my one day Biden is an excuse of a man and called a stiff.

Today he is all class and and his walking actually brings a tear to someone's eye.

Amazing.

Cloudy and other NZ residents/

You should actually read what China is now doing to Taiwan,   They contionue to oppress the people of Hong Kong, and their next target will be conquest of Taiwan and parts of India in which they have been involved in battles already.

However - their main concern is more space for their huge population and world  control is their prime objective.   After Taiwan - South Korea,  Australia and New  Zealand would be targeted for conquest/

The problem is that the US will not oppose Chinese expansion under the present  Biden Government in any way or form.    So you are advised to start reading Das Kapital and prepare for Chinese rule in five years time.

Jan 26, 2021, 18:31

I see Biden now says nothing his government can do will stop the trajectory of the virus over the next two months....perhaps he should have told the American public that before the election. In the meantime the target vaccination rate is still below the level the Trump administration achieved in it’s last days.

Promises implied, promises denied.

Jan 26, 2021, 18:33

I suspect this string is going to become a collectors’ item.

Jan 26, 2021, 21:12

As Plum posted elsewhere the competition for women in athletics has just been invalidated by Biden’s approval of sex change men in female events.

May 15, 2022, 06:21

Gosh I guess the genius that posted this didn’t count on the incompetence that led to  the Afghanistan debacle, rampant inflation, the disastrous situation at the border, the energy crisis and the Russian invasion.

Here’s a NY Times verdict on this paragon of presidential virtue Peeper fauns over:

Quinnipiac University found that President Biden’s approval rating had sunk to just 33 percent. You might argue that this was just one poll, but Biden’s approval is down in multiple surveys.

As CNN’s Harry Enten pointed out Friday, there were four major national polls released last week, and in three of them — including Quinnipiac — Biden had the lowest showing of his presidency. In the fourth, he was “one point off the lowest.”

These are just devastating results on the heels of a historic Supreme Court confirmation and only seven months out from the midterms.

I suspect this string is going to become a collectors’ item.

May 15, 2022, 08:56

Oh dear, poor Moffie.

The pompous old fool is so stung after I exposed his laughable lack of rugby knowledge on this thread that he drinks himself into a spiteful rage and goes trolling the forum for vengeance . . . yet this is the best he can find . . . a post where I quite rightly point out the enormous difference between Joe Biden's gracious, articulate and well-delivered first presidential speech and Bozo's self-aggrandizing and boastful trumpeting 4 years earlier.

There's no talk of Biden doing good things or predictions that he'll be a great president by me or any of the other Bozo-bashers on this thread, all of us just rightly pointing out the difference in behaviour and the fact that some levels of normality, dignity and respect have returned to the White House . . . the thread is then hijacked by Trumpanzees who totally ignore the point being made and who start bleating about the naughty democrats.

Oh well. Moffie is at least right about one thing. This string could become a collector's item . . . just not for the reasons he hoped for, rather an example of a conceited and small-minded blowhard having his massive ego pricked and not having the wit or the intelligence to do anything about it other than to make an even bigger fool of himself.

Wehe!

May 15, 2022, 09:33

Rooinek

When pointed out to you and other site idiots in March - April 2021  that Biden turns everything he touched into shit you and Sharkbok  responded that he was so popular amongst the voters and we are talking shit  by saying he not is a good President.  Since then it has been proven that Biden is a liar and a fool and his only contribution to UK -USA relationship has been farting before royalty.

So what did Biden achieve as President in the time since inauguration in January  2021?  Nothing bar being destructive.   He is so bad some Democratic Party candidates in the election don't want him anywhere near their campaigns for election.   This stemmed largely from the Virginia Governor election where he did campaign for the Democratic Party candidates who were beaten by  Republicans in a state where Biden won the Presidential election by 10%.

Be it as it may nothing Biden did since becoming President added value to the lives of the people in the USA and even CNN is looking for a replacement candidate to represent the Democrats in the 2024 election.     There is really no candidate that would not be worse than Biden is already - since one has to assume  that by 2024 all the elderly corrupt elements in the Democratic Party leadership would be too old to continue  and the only remaining one would be Adam Schiff -  while a new generation of corrupt leaders will emerge.

Hope the Democrats actually survive without a split between moderate leftists and the Democratic Socialists occur  - ie between the moderates and the communist elements ruining the USA at present.    Real opposition is needed in the USA - but only brainwashed idiots will still vote Democrat by 2024.

Happy Brainwashed Idiots Day to you

May 15, 2022, 15:46

Waaaaaahahaha…..Peeper desperately  trying to justify his fawning post about Biden while distancing himself from everything the old coot has done. You wanted Biden you moron….now you have world wide rampant inflation as a result. How stupid do you have to be to choose a canned speech over competence.

May 16, 2022, 08:27

For once I agree with Sebastianchabal........

"USA  has a big "psychological problem" of what true statesmen should be...tmy gut feel is that Biden looks good only because Trump had no common decency, lacks integrity and is uncouth  loudmouth. USA is in for a very bumpy ride and I doubt that Biden is tough enough in character and leadership o handle it. He appears wimpy."

In other words if it wasn't for Trump there'd be no Biden. Hell, they could have had Donald Duck running for Pressie and Trump would still have lost it.

May 16, 2022, 16:23

Fixed that tear in your eye yet? Imagine going all weepy about an ancient, nasty incompetent. You wanted him and look at the damage he’s done. Bad call.

May 16, 2022, 17:38

Well said mozart.

Perhaps the terms class, dignity, respect and human side returning to the White House should be explained to the poor soul.

Everything this prick Biden has touched has been a disaster even prior to his White House disasters.

Perhaps Liar, Criminal and Traitor are terms more suited to his political career.

Going down very soon.

May 17, 2022, 01:45

"Well said Mozart"

Really?.....Bwhahahaaha ou Farter you're a tonic.

Apr 24, 2022, 16:51

The difference is Biden is constrained by institutions, critical evaluation, processes, laws and the rights of the States. Not perfectly, but the constraints are real. Putin is virtually unconstrained.

And nobody on this Board thinks Biden is  a competent president. But a small cadre of you, primarily you and silly Mike think Putin is a great leader. Which is a puzzle.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

You guys just don't get it.......here let me help.

For obese Donnie to win another term he has to make himself electable.

For argument sake he might be the next best thing since the Messiah but if he's not electable he won't win another term. Kick, scream and bark for as long and hard as you want he lost the last election because he shoots himself in the foot. It's not your vote he needs, he already has that, he needs the vote of the millions who find him repulsive. After four years of chaos and upheaval people got sick of him and turned to Biden not because they thought he could do a good job but because they had a gutful of Trump. Turning to Biden was entirely Trump's fault. Americans would have voted for Wally Wonker instead of Trump.

Get it now?

Americans are generally regarded as loudmouths and rude but it seems to me that they won't wear the same sort of behaviour and characteristics from their president. Bang away about him being a "New Yorker" whatever that's suppose to mean hasn't cut it with the majority of voters and it won't cut it in the next election.

Trump is his own worst enemy and the best supporter of a Democrat presidential nominee. And that's not the only nail in his presidential coffin, the media is another, they love the coming of Trump........it keeps them in a job.

Deal with it.

May 17, 2022, 04:22

Nothing new there….I have said it many times, Trump blew the election in the debates and the Covid briefings. He is a loudmouth and there were many who simply wouldn’t vote for him because of that.

But if you are hiring a surgeon to operate on your ticker, would you care if he is not a nice guy, if he is also the most competent  heart surgeon. Most  people would go for competence. And the election comes down to a choice between the competence of only two people.

So why isn’t that true of selecting a president. Many people chose on the basis of a superficial character assessment….yourself included Quisling. Precisely because of my point you quoted above….the US President has constrained power and decision making is decentralized. So Biden’s obvious incompetence wasn’t scary.

But in many of the big decisions  the president is supposed to lead, like going to war, setting the budget, protecting the borders. There Biden has much more responsibility and his lack of competence is an issue, nor can a team of handlers save the day. And many decisions have to be made without the luxury of a full debate….so who is making those decisions, Biden or some faceless handler?

Choosing Biden was an incredibly naive and irresponsible decision, which left the world with a leadership vacuum..

May 17, 2022, 05:02

We're saying the same thing, where we differ is you don't get the commonsense choice of competence, most voters don't swing that way, it's the the nature of things, that's how it's always been. If Trump was smart which he is not then he'd play the media, it's his only hope.....your man is too arrogant and dumb to figure it out. Give him a call Pompous Piles , you're always telling us that you move in high circles. And oh it's easy to say in hindsight Biden is this, that and the other, fact is Trump is to blame for Biden winning the election.......if not Biden anyone else had just a good a chance.  And hey, I'm not buying Trump is competent no matter your biased view.

Fact is Trump lost an unlosable election.

The blame lies entirely at your hero's feet.....give him a call, everyone at Fauk news does.

May 17, 2022, 06:17

Denny

The problem in the USA was that for five years there was a leftist media hate campaign against Trump based on lies concocted by the Democrats - ie the Russiagate Scandal.   These lies are now being exposed in court cases.

The media took it on themselves to have Trump removed from office and the result was four years of lies and distortion.    They also hid the truth about the Hunter Biden laptop story - which also turned out to be really the truth implicating  Biden in corruption.  Matter of fact in an opinion poll recently 17% of the voters said they would not have voted for Biden if they knew about his son's corrupt activities carried out for the benefit of Biden.

There is no real method Trump could ever be acceptable to the  USA media - they ae in the main owned by a few billionaires and take money from the Chinese Government and the media owners to write stories favorable to hem.

Despite the media lies Trump was a competent President with mean tweets being the only thing they could blame him for.    Everything showed improvement of conditions of life for Americans while Trump was President - while the same conditions under Biden collapsed. and the people are poorer than they ever were.

The leftist media do not cover the Biden failures in virtually everything he touched so you ae probably unaware of what is really happening in the USA.   In the meantime the  World order was destroyed by Biden and the World today is an unsafe place for millions of people as a result of  Biden's incompetence.    While the EU leaders were trying to prevent the Ukraine invasion by Russia - Biden  for USA political reasons only - were encouraging the Ukraine Government to continue with their policies of undermining the human rights of Russian ethnic people living in Ukraine.    Biden has a corrupt relationship with Ukraine going back to 2014 and so has Pelosi and Schiff.   When the House approved the $40 billion aid package to Ukraine - Pelosi and Schiff rushed to Kiev to finalize arrangements for the kickbacks to be paid to both USA politicians and the Ukraine leadership themselves.   Both Pelosi and Schiff used to be in the kickback process in Ukraine since 2014 as well - so no surprise about the sudden visit to Kiev.       .          .

May 17, 2022, 06:28

YAWN

May 17, 2022, 16:13

So it’s Trump’s fault that Biden has screwed up because he lost the election. I guess that’s akin to it’s Mandela’s fault that the ANC is corrupt because he had to retire, This opens up a whole new chapter in the blame game.

May 17, 2022, 20:01

America will eventually pay for all it's terrible sins, ie hypocrisy high on the list, which is ,if you read the New Testament in the right context, is what the Messiah, the Christ , called out.

We have to fix our own lives first before we can even have the audacity to lead and teach others of how it should be done.

And it should be done with humility, honesty and reconciliation, which is a form of true love for your fellow being.

May 18, 2022, 20:07

Shitting on Biden is not gonna take the stench off Trumps fucking ugly mug after being so far up Putin’s arse for years.

Sounds like the pricks are in here

May 18, 2022, 23:26

Gosh you have a wonderful way with words.

May 19, 2022, 05:07

"So it’s Trump’s fault that Biden has screwed up because he lost the election."

Good try,  but no fool, what I'm saying and you know exactly what I mean is this.....

Your classless hero lost an unlosable election, he lost to a doddering and senile old coffin dodger.....what should have been a thundering victory for your hero turned into a nightmare from which he has yet to recover.

The vast majority of Americans found him repulsive.

Unlike you they rejected a rude, uncouth loudmouth and liar who lacks integrity.

So, while his lack of character appeals to you the vast majority would have voted for anyone other than your hero......anyone including Daffy Duck, Roger Rabbit or Willy Wonker.....anyone other than a pig.

May 19, 2022, 05:53

I read, don't know how true but about 1/2 of the Coffin Dodger's Twitter followers are Bots...Musk's reactions are now, no deal. Hahaha...how embarrassing

Talk about a mess...what type of world are we living or more correctly dying in.

Time to immigrate to planet Meton, Plum?:D

May 19, 2022, 13:42

On 22 January 2021  I wrote the following about Biden and his fake pressidency:-

"A meaningless speech and one that would be negated by actions that would have the opposite effect on the population.

Wait and see what  will inevitably happen in   the 2022 mid-term elections"

There is not a word wrong in what I said then.   Everything i said turned out to be 100% true and subsequent to that all my forecasts proved to be 100% correct.    I said disaster for the Democrats will come in the midterm election - it happened much earlier in elections in Virginia and New Jersey.  Biden won in Virginia  by 10%   in 2020  and by 26% in Virginia and  New Jersey - there are 1more than 800 000  Democrat party member in New Jersey than republicans.   So what happened in the elections held in March.   The Republicans took all three State nominations - ie  Governor, Deputy Governer and State AttorneyGeneral by more than 4% points in Virginia.   In New Jersey  the Republican candidate was leading by 20 000  votes after all votes were counted.   Then out of the blue a mysterious 40 000 votes were 'discovered and the Democratic Party nominee won by 20 000 votes.   That represent about a 3% winning margin.   What was weird that in the county where the New Jersey  Speaker of the House was their candidate - he lost badly to an unemployed lorry driver who spent under $5 600 on his entire election campaign.

In Virginia the Democrats sent in Obama, Pelosi  and Jill Biden to campaign for the Democratic candidates - but their were hesitation as to Biden campaigning - bu in the end he went and the result was disastrous for the Democrats.

By the way the election is Texas on 14 June 2022 will be the first real indication of  what will happen in the 2022 mid-term elections.  The local Democratic Party member resigned from Congress.    81% of the population of the district are Hispanics and Biden's standing in the Hispanic community is now at a record low of 26% - 57% of the Hispanics voted for Biden in 2020 - his support now stands at 26%.

I think that idiots like Rooinek and SB do not understand what the real situation was because they believed fake media lies.    .By the way none of you met Trump and how do you know they are not lying about his conduct in relation to people.   He did write some eman tweets about the Democrats in particular - but it is never comparable to the lies and distortions the media wrote about him for 5 years.     Trump is a businessman who does not put up with shit and when a person does not perform thy will be dealt with accordingly.   Biden is a fool that specializes in shit and give the shit to people who suffer s a result.  Big difference.   .

May 19, 2022, 20:18

‘Americans are generally regarded as loudmouths and rude’. Actually so are Aussies. And you wouldn’t have heard any Aussies saying that in 1942 when the only thing stopping Japan from taking Oz was the US navy. Or perhaps they didn’t really want it…it is such an ugly, fly infested dump.

May 20, 2022, 04:39

".....fly infested dump"

Ja well have a bite of this.....

Chicago's Mosquito Problem Among Worst In Nation

Orkin has released its annual rankings of worst cities for mosquitoes. Chicago didn't fare well.

CHICAGO — They're the menace at every cookout. The uninvited guest who arrives early and refuses to leave. We're talking of course about mosquitoes, the flying bloodsuckers whose bites are as annoying as they are itchy.

Worst of all, Chicago is listed among the metro areas with the worst mosquito problem in the nation by the pest control company Orkin. The company released its annual rankings Monday. The findings were based on the number of mosquito customers served from April 1, 2018, to March 31, 2021.

Chicago ranked fourth worst in the country, just behind Houston and ahead of Washington, D.C. For the sixth consecutive year, Atlanta earned the miserable honor of worst city for mosquitoes, followed by New York City.

Here are the 10 worst cities for mosquitoes according to Orkin:

  1. Atlanta, GA
  2. New York City, NY
  3. Washington, D.C.
  4. Chicago, IL
  5. Houston, TX
  6. Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX
  7. Detroit, MI
  8. Philadelphia, PA
  9. Charlotte, NC
  10. Raleigh-Durham, NC

Mosquito season begins when spring temperatures arrive, Orkin said. The pests are most active when temperatures climb above 80 degrees, with breeding season occurring July through September. Entomologist Mark Beavers noted in a news release that mosquitoes aren't only annoying, they can "be a major health threat.

"Mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile virus, encephalitides, dengue, chikungunya and for those who may remember, Zika, threaten the safety of humans and pets," he said.

Federal health officials agree. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, mosquito bites can cause sickness or even death, though most are just a nuisance.

May 20, 2022, 05:46

Hahaha…..haven’t been bitten by a mosquito in years. And a bit of spraying totally solves the problem….unlike your problem with those Australian eagles crawling over your bread, in your ears and up your nose. Those bastards aren’t put off by a bit of spray.

May 20, 2022, 05:55

The flies are much worse than the spiders in Australia.

May 20, 2022, 06:23

Well Pompous Piles, been downtown Chicago recently......don't think so......how about a visit to the local shopping centre Huh?.....don't think so.

Here's why......

Jan. 4, 2022 Last year, Chicago saw at least 800 homicides, and the overwhelming majority of slayings in the city—more than 90%—were from gun violence, according to law enforcement records.

Sounds like you've been living in lockdown long before the pandemic.

Gosh, you'd be lost without Ruckers.

May 20, 2022, 06:26

Actually I believe you when you say that you haven't been bitten by a mozzie in years, the reason is plain to see........with the homicide rate the way it is in Chicago it's not a good idea to venture outside of your front door.

Now that's living in a fear riddled dump.

May 20, 2022, 14:51

Quisling Buckingham Palace is  much closer to crime than I am on the elegant north shore….your ignorance is showing. These shootings are tragic for the communities affected though, mostly people of color and it takes a callous human being to make a joke of them. Clean up your act.

May 20, 2022, 16:05

Putting it on me Huh?,.....you're the one who started it all, I don't see anyone laughing as it stands you're always rubbishing Oz and NZ I'm merely pointing to a dark side in your own backyard.

Oh so now it's the "elegant North Shore"....want me to pull up a post in where you boasted about the "elegant Chicago"?

You are one sly puppy being stung with your own BS.

May 21, 2022, 21:34

Old Blue Eyes thought Chicago great...maybe in his days it was different.

It was rumoured that Frank was a hood but maybe it was a fallacy image that so many fall for.

Nevertheless Sinatra was the old type of man that made USA in those days where identity and individualism counted...not like the lemmings of woke culture today.

My favourite Sinatra song sums it up.

Its #12 ranking in our Programming category—including #7 in Culture and #11 in Nightlife—speaks to the plentiful buzz that Chicago was perfecting before everything ground to a halt.

The hardship of the past 18 months only means the city is spring-loaded to return to its quiet productivity—and even stronger than ever, with the seventh-highest number of Global 500 headquarters in the world, second only to New York in the U.S.

Best Flystralia could do was Sydney at  #19.

Fat lot of good that is when you can't exit your front door.

May 23, 2022, 01:42

I’m perfectly safe exiting….all I see is Lake Michigan and neighbors walking their dogs. Here’s the crime rating for my town:

Is XXXX, IL Safe?

The A+ grade means the rate of crime is much lower than the average US city. XXXX is in the 97th percentile for safety, meaning 3% of cities are safer and 97% of cities are more dangerous.

So enjoy your egg, it is your customary fare.

Still banging away huh?

Shame.

You're clearly hurting. I feel your pain.

Listen Sucker if the mosquito's don't get you then the wind will, why else would they call it the windy city with stories of people being swept off their feet Huh? And if that's not bad enough a wind chill of -50c cuts to the bone......but  if that doesn't get to you then a spade becomes a valuable friend with 6ft of snow outside your front door.

Still wanna carry on with your BS?

Well then throw a calculous around this......

Chicago shootings: 27 shot, 1 fatally in weekend violence, CPD says

May 23, 2022, 05:43

You ineffably dumb fool, it’s called the Windy City because of the politicians, nothing to do with the wind ….it’s not particularly windy. As for the weather it’s not great in Winter, but I’ll be in my Florida pad while you will still be fighting flies.

Stay down Tit, I take no pleasure in beating up the mentally handicapped.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WIND

One of the first known instances of Chicago’s “windy city” nickname came from a New York Sun reporter named Charles A. Dana in 1893, who editorialized that the city’s politicians were “full of hot air.” Chicago and New York were in a head-to-head competition at the time to host the next World’s Fair, and Chicago’s “windbag” advocates were not shy about campaigning for their hometown in order to win. Despite Dana’s best efforts to discredit Chicago as a “windy city”, the 1893 World’s Fair was held in Illinois, not New York.

Even before the World’s Fair debate, there were other published instances of the windy city nickname. The Cincinnati Enquirer used the term in 1876 in reference to a tornado that blew through the city, while also capitalizing on the term’s double meaning to highlight local speakers who were “full of wind.”

From there, the nickname stuck, and the rest is history!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Why is Chicago called the “Windy City”? The origins of Chicago’s famous nickname are not entirely clear. The most obvious explanation is that it comes from the frigid breezes that blow off Lake Michigan and sweep through the city’s streets.

Stay down Fool...stay down.

Hahaha you conveniently left out the full quote:

IS CHICAGO A WINDY CITY?

Contrary to popular belief, Chicago is not the windiest city in the United States. That honor goes to Boston, Massachusetts, which boasts wind speeds that are regularly up to two miles per hour faster than Chicago’s. In fact, Chicago doesn’t even rank on most top 10 lists for wind speeds in America, so why is Chicago called the windy city?

No Liar, I didn't say it was the "windiest city" I've said it's a "Windy City"....spot the difference?....Tx....but how dumb of you to lay the reason squarely at the feet of politicians when back in 1876 The Enquirer was the first to raise the name of the "Windy City" in "reference to a tornado that blew through the city,"

And then this as well...."The most obvious explanation is that it comes from the frigid breezes that blow off Lake Michigan and sweep through the city’s streets."

Gosh, there's no limit to your ignorance.

My point remains.....the asshole of a place is plaqued by mosquito's, strong frigid winds and uncontrolled gun violence.

May 23, 2022, 12:19

Ummm . . . wasn't it Moffie's hero himself . . . Bozo the Clown . . . who described Chicago as being notorious around the globe for its violence, calling it "an embarrassment to Americans" and claiming it was less safe than Afghanistan?

Hmmm?

May 23, 2022, 12:36

".........nothing to do with the wind ….it’s not particularly windy...."

Says our Chicago resident.....you just can't make this up.

"The Cincinnati Enquirer used the term in 1876 in reference to a tornado that blew through the city,"

May 23, 2022, 13:28

You'll probably find any city that Moffie moves to will become known as the Windy City . . .

So as you can easily see Chicago is about average among US cities. But hilariously if you average PM and AM wind speeds for Sydney and Melbourne….you get 12.5 mph for Sydney and 13.00 mph for Melbourne uncomfortably ahead of Chicago’s 10.3 mph,

So not only are these places fly infested, they are also subject to miserably elevated wind speeds. No wonder most educated Aussies choose to stay in the USA or the UK. Why live in a hot, fly infested, wind scoured hell hole.

How to deal with flies in the outback?

How to deal with flies in the outback

Have you heard a say ‘personal fly‘? This is what you get in Australia. Flies here are different and come to the annoyance level beyond our acceptance – and that’s even without leaving a city!

If the flies are that bad, it's interesting that one don't see "Doom" and "Target" sponsors on sports jerseys.:D
