Djokovic has withdrawn  from this tournament after losing in the Indian Wells tournament in a match where he was beaten by a lucky loser qualifier,   Wonder what will happen in  the upcoming clay court season?   Thus far this year he is under-performing  - seems he is not fit.  

In terms of his statement Djokovic said in the past that he will retie from tennis when he is not competitive in tennis anymore.   Thu far this year Djokovic said he will stop playing in tournaments anymore,    Thus far he has not been competitive anymore - will 2024 be the end of the illustrious career of  Djokovic?

in a media statement Djokovic claimed that he is "rescheduling" his program - but sin ce the Aussie Open Djokovic played only in Indian Wells - where he did not perform well.   The next phase in the match schedule  is the European clay court season - a series of tournaments Djokovic rarely did well in the past.   So lets see how the rescheduling would be done.    

The above is the potential seedings since the Draws will only be finalized alter today and some players may not be playing - Djokovic being one.    It is probable that the seedings anounced to day will not apply and the previous seedings will be applicable - hence the emdia report that the top forur seeds will be Alaraz, Sinner, Medvedev and Rublev.

There was somthing weird in the draw.   The Top half of the draw hasd 9 qualifiers as against against the 3 qualiiers in the bottom half of the draw.   So at this stage there are in the bttom half of the draw o he 16 seeded playerthere are still  there are only 4 left after Round 3 has been completed,   Going into Round 3  there are still 11 players left after Round 2 has been played.  

How many of he 11 will b le after Round 3 ha been played?    .    .

Congrats to Sinne winning the Tounamnt = he is by a huge distance the best tennis player thus far this year.    In that regard he earned 3900 ranking  points this year  against Medvedev' 2 500 points and Djokovic 880 points.    The latter is still ranked as the number 1 player in the world  - but unless Djokovic  plays in Monte Carlo next week and Rome and Madrid afterwards he may be out of the number 1 ranking before the Rolland Garos tournament in May 2024.          .
