February could be a bad one for some Players. If Alcaraz does not play in Rio he would lose 500 points in the Rankings and since he won he would lose points even if he plays and does not win.
Rublev was runner up in the Rotterdam tournament and he won the Sud de France tournament in 2022. He can either lose points through not participating in either of the two tournaments or did worse than he did in 2023. He won the Qatar Open in the past and may choose to play in that tournament as well.
I am not sure what Ruud is up to - he said he was going to take a break from playing in February 2023. I am sure he will lose points too if he did what he said he would do.
It is very difficult to deal with updating of participants in all tournaments so I will deal with the following two tournaments per week:-
* Cordoba Open and Sud de France Open
* Argentina Open and Rotterdam Open
* Rio Open and Qatar Open
The tournaments starting in the last week in February will be dealt with in the March 2023 match schedule.
