So there were 32 seeded players at the start of the tournament - but how many is left after ROUND 2? Answer - 20 seeded players - the following are gone\-
* One player withdrew from the tournament;
* The following in evaluation from a ranking perspective -

10-19 - 4 Players
20-29 - 3 Players
30-32 - 3 Players
In the top Half of the Draw another 5 seeded players lost in Round 3. There were some surprise results as well. Rune losing to Davidovich Fokina is one - the other one was the way Zverev thrashed his opponent. I wonder how he is going to fare against Alcaraz in Round 4. Last year in the final Alcaraz thrashed Zverev badly - Will the same happen in the Round 4 on Monday?
Another poor day for the Seeds - there is now only 9 seeds remaining and there are still in Round 4 7 unseeded players in the mix. The following in evaluation from a ranking perspective -

The tournament starts on 24 April 2023 with the first two days being reserved for qualification matches.
As expected Djokovic will not play in Madrid and the draw took place today - but has not been published yet. I will provide the full match schedules starting with Round 2 tomorrow or asap.
