Some obsevations as to the above is interesting:-
* As stated above if Alcaraz beat Medvedev tonight he will be back as world Number 1.
* for the first time since 2005 Nadal is not among the Top 10 rankings of the APT.
* Medvedev over the past four weeks of tournaments played won in three of the completed tournaments and if he wins at Indian Wells it would be a rather historical achievement. Medvedev hate clay course tennis and there is just one hardcourt series starting this week in Miami and after that tournament
is the start of the European clay court tournaments.

There are only two players to have potential changes to their ranking points.. If Alcaraz wins in the final in the Indian Wells tournament - he will be the no 1 player in the World tomorrow night. Even though Medvedev is also in the final his actual ranking position will not be effected irrespective of whether he wins or loses.
