In the past year I wrote about 18 year olds and one 17 year old player that showed signs of becoming tennis greats in future, Those were -
* Jakub Mensik - already ranked 17 th in the tennis rankings;
* Joao Fonseca; and
* Justin Engel.
Jakub Mensik is playing this week in Eastbourne and will be playing in the quarterfinals. Howeverm that rings me to Joao Fonseca - he ws playing in the Round 2 match of the same tournament - against Taylor Fritz eho is the number 4 ranked player in the world at present. Fritz won the first set 6-3 but Fonseca came from behind to win the second behnd to win the second set. The playing o deciding match could not be finished and the final set will have to be played today, Looking at what happened yesterday the chance is 50:50 of Fonmseca to beat Fritz in the final set today.
Looking at what happened thus far there is a reasonable chance that Mensik may play Fonseca in the Eastbourne semifinal.
