The problem is that in the case of the seeded players 32 players - 16 seeds started in each of the two halves of the Draw and after Round 3 the situation was as follows:-

1. Top Half of the draw - The Round 3 was not a bad insofar as seeded players are concerned as the bottom half is, There are still 6 seeded players going through to Round 4, Sinner and Djokovic wil for the first time in this tournament met seede players, but both are likely to go through to the quarterfinals.

1. Bottom Half of the Draw - There are only 4 seeds left, As a result the surviving 2 Top ten players who survived in the first three rounds and only Fritz played a seeded player in the 3rd Round, The first seeded player Alcaraz will play in the tournament is Rublev - who got over his mental problms thus far in the series and won easily against playes he played against in Rounds 1 to 3, That problem affected Alcaraz badly in his approach to matches and he had to play a five-setter in Round 1 against Fognini and a 4 setter against Struff. In Round 4 Alcaraz will easily beat Rublev - but in the quarterfinals he will again meet an unseeded player - neither Jarrie or Norrie are Top 50 players and Alcsraz will only potentially face a Top 10 seeded player (Fritz) in the semi's - a rather unusual situation.

By the way the match between Alcaraz and Rublev was probably the best match played at Wimbledon this year. Unlike the case n too many cases in the past weeks Rublev showed some real fighting spirit and on his walking off te park he got a standiong ovation from the crowd - that does not happen often and showed the quality of the match played by both players, Alcaraz and Rubev has been cklose friends for years - they often trained tgether over the years and it is no wonder that Alacarz called him one of the most talented players in the circuit,

I was rather bothered by Alcaraz performances in matches at Wimbledon this year - but I think after yesterdays match that he is the likely winner at Wimbledon this year,

SEMIFINALS

2 Carlos Alcaraz vs 5 Taylor Fritz

Since his return from a drug ban Sinner has been on-and off in matches. Yesterday Dimitrov was up 2 sets to none - when he had to retire in set 3 due to injury. In set 3 the score was 2-2 when Dimitrov got injured. In the case of Djokovic it really was a shit match to watch and he struggled to beat the out-of-form De Minaur, Both can suffer in their 2 matches tomorrow and I would no be surprised if both get beten.

Alcaraz was up against Rublev - who was in the match up to the end - it was a brilliant performaance by both - probably the best match played this year in Wimbledon and in the end Alcaraz won and praised Rublev after the match - who also got a standing ovation from the crowd when he left after the match, Alcaraz today will in easily against Norrie - but the match between Fritz and Khacharov may be a toss-up.
