I don't really want to start another thread on the same topic, but this article is very pertinent to a number of the talking points over the Folau saga. There are a few points that stand out for me. Namely, the fact that it does appear that he breached his contract. And something that we have not really touched on is that you can't do nothing when an employee clearly breaches his contract. What about the rights of gay rugby players not to be discriminated against? Lastly, if they had kept Folau on, it could have collapsed rugby in Australia. If that is a reality, surely he could not have been kept on contract?
