Glad to hear you’re going to be around for a lot longer, Mike :)
Note that in ou Maaik's case, AIDS stands for Alcohol Is Definitely the Solution.
The Clicks device also still has a good few years left!

By the way Chippo ( have nt had any achol since January 2024 and neve drin anything at all, Not that I am against alcohol at all, I grew up on a farmw here my aprents gave us small glasses on wine every day - so I switch from mothers milk to wine directly, Since 1970 I have stopped drinking virtually anything and hen I took people out for dinner at the most expenseive restaurants in Umhlanga and Durban - I would have top class wine at such dinners, but rarely much of it.
In that period I was getting an entertainment allowan ce of R10 000 per year from the Municipality and that was used to entertain long strings of representatives sent by the Central Government to learn from us how local authorities should operate. One funny incident waa whwn the Mayor of Brnkhorstspruit and the Municipal Manager came to Ballito for such discussions and two days before the visit I made reservations to take the visitors for a dinner at the Zimbali Lodge. Two problems cropt up as a result:-
It took me no time at all to convince the Lodge that they willg et robems oif the booking I made was not kept and they promptly change and allowed us in. hen we got to the Restaurant there was nobody in the place - entirely empty, While we were eating four people entered the restaurant - it was Nicky Opeheimer and his wife Bridget and two friends. That was 3 weeks before he died of a heart attack.
However, the bloody Mayor ordered a botte of wine costing at the time cost R1 200 and I totall lost my cool and paid the whole cost of the lunch ut of my own poceket and did not claim i back from the Municipality, Two year later I read in the newspapers that the said Mayor was involved in fraud and given a 10 year sentence and my only comment was - the bastard should have received a 20 year sentence.
So sorry to say so - but I drink virtuually no alcoholic beverages for many years now but I have used some other forbidden substances a few times in my long life, LOL
My only wish for younger members of this site is that I hope they reach my years without suffering too much from constipation or any other dreaded diseases and without losing their ability to think for themselves. Theonly thin g I learned throughout my life si to ahte is government corruption amd that si where I drew the line and condemned the Zuma regime totally for the whole time he was president. That is why I dislike the Biden crime family so much.
By the way the 2007 RWC oisot to France csot em R250 000 and I was really spending mney I should enver have spent on the way I did. My roblem was I traveleld to numerous countries during the weeks. I booked tours and hotel accommodation all over Europe and spent money as if there was an endless supply. For instance before I arrived in Paris a few days before the first test - I saw on the internet a tour advertisement entailing a dinner at level 92 of the Eiffel Tower, a cruse on the Sein watching the lighting fo buildings in teh S eine and a visit to the Lou,i Rouge and decide that was dfor em and n ooked and pai for the tour before departure from SA. Other siiar cidemts was prevalent in in other cities as well. I took my nephew and his wife on watching the musicial We will Rock You and afterwards having supper at a hote in London - costing me a cool R10 000. One time I saw two adverts In Vienna - the one being a visit to teh chonbrun Place, ahving dinner at teh palace and watching a performance of the Imperial Orchestra having front row seats withw ine thrown in and he next night a cruise on the Danube with a performance of Mozart music - another R20 000 gone.
The tckets for my newphew and his wife and myself I could not get - the Stade d' France had no ticckets availabe O I had to buy those on te internet - another R12 000 gone.
When i think about what I did with money then and how I struggle to get through with the pensions i receive now I still do not regret what I did in the past, So my advice to members are enjoy yourself when you can - opprotunities in life normally arise only once - and enjoy it while you can.

I went to the doctors on Tuesday and after tests the doctors reported as follows:-
So it seems I will still be around for at least the next year or so and continue to cause havoc on site due to my personal and mostly factual contributions on site - which apparently is bad news for most of the site members. . .
