He appears to be over his constant injuries. Apparently scored 3 tries vs the Kings. Has played 30 games back to back.

Good player always rated him but injuries got in the way

Agreed, he looked good early before the injuries.

Maybe they have worked on his conditioning to make him less injury-prone.

If a bodybuilder played rugby, chances are they would also be injury-prone- just not conditioned for a sport.

It wasn't long ago Ulster offered him a contract, and he resigned from the Bulls.
Then Ulster tore up the contract.... and he was jobless. Was then lucky to be signed for London Scottish who was relegated the next season.

He has been offered a lifeline by Munster, and it has paid off for them- when it could have been a disaster.

As I recall he was one of several Boks hurt on  a field with unusual grass.

Jake White has just signed Arnold Botha for the Bulls

I expected it - White mentioned  a mystery signing to be announced soon and he mentioned a 108 kg player,    This guy may end up as the Springbok no 8 to replace Vermeulen - but his injury problems will have to be overcome.   .

He has been injury free for a good while now

Good signing by Jake
