Just another pitiful excuse to trash Pieter-Steph yet agan.

Moffie's rating of PSdT carries about as much weight as ou Maaik's rating of Andre Esterhuizen.

I can’t recall one brilliant Dud Toit run and there have probably been more than a thousand in Bok colors, Can you?

And that’s not my rating of Dud, it’s my ranking of him as a ball carrier. As I mentioned before I think he does 90% of his constructive work when the opposition has the ball.

PSDT would be the strongest ball carrier on that list along with Alberts and Vermeulen and add Wiese

Best attacking loosies of that lot are Skinstad, Joe and Kwagga

Kolisi is up there in terms of attacking - certainly ahead of Juan Smith and Schalk

Spies was too soft - athlete with no mongrel

PSDT is as good a ball carrier as Eben in traffic and even the stats will verify that

Neither Dud Toit nor Eben are great ball carriers…I agree they are about the same. Both locks. Schalk was never a great ball carrier either, but in his last few seasons he became a brilliant offloader, which made him very effective.

As ball carriers they are among the best - the reality is that the days of big guys bumping over smaller players is long gone

I would say of that lot the folowing four  qualify - nanely Big Joe, Skinstad, Burger and Juan  Smith - but they will be all four lower ranked than Du Toit.   The nab cinig nearest would be Brger - but after his eck break 0 he was not as good a e ue dto be ad af ter 2011 he was in serious decline until his retirement in 2015,    Vermeulen is another - but his ball caries were almost always confined when catchng kicked in balls and stop the carry when he encountered the first defenders.          

I bet Doris and Sititi average much more than a meter a carry….Savea certainly does. We lack that kind of ball carrier. Dud shouldn’t be our go to runner….no acceleration, no explosiveness, no step. A sitting duck.

Different players different roles - the likes of Doris and Savea are used out wider than the narrow channels the tall locks and squat props run

PSDT like Eben is effective in heavy traffic - plenty of explosive power there

1m carries is all that is required to set up the next phase - it’s why Eben, PSDT, RG, Ox, Malherbe etc are the go to’s in the narrow channels

Do  you ever wtch rugby ad ever come up wth anything -  Du Toit is the exact opppsite tp at yu describe here - he can carry balls in traffic and in open-field play and has proved that as well.   Now tell me why was Du Toit the player of te Year in 2019 - when you said he was poor?   Because whatever shot ou spout is corrct and nobody else bar Pakie believe the shit is real. 

So Brodie an Du Toit was nominated again this year as Player of the eyar and you sill insists  he    is useless.  Chances are 70% he would win again becasuse he iss a much better all round player in both defense and attack - while Kolbe is an exceptional finisher when he recives the ball with a chance to score tries, bu seldom create openings himself - in that for inatnce at his prime Habana did.     Du Toit handled balls in both open field play and in traffic - while for instance Ertzbth concentrate on carrying balls in traffic.

But the you never see anyhing positive in Du Toit's performancs and this year took a lukewam approach on him - with writing shit on site like you did under this thread.
