CJ is spot on

6. Kolisi

7. PSDT

8. Roos

May 24, 2023, 23:56

He's either shit-stirring, wanting us to lose or plain stupid.

Where's the player of the year Wiese?

May 25, 2023, 01:24

The return of Stampkar!

May 25, 2023, 07:19

6 Kwagga 7 Roos 8 Wiese….that,s our best option

May 25, 2023, 07:40

Lol Kolisi...

Well, I'd rather have Kolisi at 12 than DDA.

Dunno if that's any consolation.

May 25, 2023, 10:42

I’ll take CJ take over a bunch of clowns on here

CJ is spot on

May 25, 2023, 11:28

If the site "rugby experts" - who knows nothing about the game - condemn players, it is wised to ignore their BS.

May 25, 2023, 14:38

Obviously CJ has had one to many "Head Hits" in his playing career.

May 25, 2023, 17:11

Obviously Tassenberg will choose Kolisi and Stef out of sentiment….even if they play badly, there is no Merit team selection in Bok Rugby anymore….otherwise we would see new inform faces in the Bok squad…..but nothing….here and there a sprinkle, but not enough to change our approach to reaching the full monty in our playing style….besides that, R&N will stick to there Stampkar Plan even if we land in the ditch….the proof is all over to see….but because Tassie is such a good Bull Shitter, a lot on here and out there, has been bewitched and indoctrinated by him….to such a extend, that our mediocrity, get,s celebrated….the Tassie Zombies believes everything, and looses all sense of standards…..we ain’t going no where fast under R ….and now that Nienhaber is leaving, soon R will be following…..his track record shows that very clearly….so I wonder who is the real clowns on Ruckers?

May 25, 2023, 19:23

We are talking about two players who have never delivered for the Boks. They are the face of the brand of mediocrity that too many South Africans are enamored with. Where is the honesty? Seeing as Roos has failed to look remotely test quality, how would he fair this year being surrounded by such substandard players? With Wiese and Kwagga, at least he doesn't have to do any more than hold his own, and being surrounded by players who are setting much higher standards to follow. In short, he'll be much more likely to succeed!

May 25, 2023, 22:04

CJ’s views I respect unlike the clowns on here

CJ is spot on

Kolisi is our best 6 and has been in good form

PSDT is by far our best blindside and by all accounts has been in good form in Japan

Roos is a generational player and has to be invested in. Wiese has been good for the Tigers but he is just dumb muscle albeit effective dumb muscle. I prefer the all round ability of Roos to the basher that is Wiese

Wiese or Kwagga on the bench

May 26, 2023, 15:44

Wiese has been fantastic. The odds of Roos matching him are quite unlikely. Wiese has the odd moment of a rush of blood, but aside from that he has been pretty clean. He is statistically the best Bok defender since 2021. Considering our defence has been pap, we need him. He also does something Kolisi, Steph and Lood have never done: get front foot ball over the gainline. We haven't had gainline dominance in one test since 2021, England win aside.

Steph is hopeless, and Kolisi is an embarrassment. Neither one has earned a single test.

As for Roos. His showings last year were exceedingly poor. Odd, given that he is already crowned Bok of the ages.

May 26, 2023, 16:13

Doos who gives a fuck what you think huh?

CJ vs Doos’s opinion - let me have a think about that bwhaaahaaaaa

May 26, 2023, 16:35

Dave

There is a problem here.   Wiese is a slow loosie that can carry balls in traffic - but there is a problem for years inasmuch as the loosies were regarded by the Springbok coaches  as an extension of the Tight 5.   There was no linking play involving loosies joining the backline in attacking play.   Du Toit was such a linking loosie - but the "site experts" do not understand that faction of loosie play - of them a loosie is supposed to defend in traffic and being part of attack is really beyond their understanding.   Kolisi showed development in that respect and Roos is really a player in the Savea style - mobile and physically strong to be effective in both attack and defense.

May 26, 2023, 16:52

Wiese is mobile, strong, good hands, great defence, makes good reads, even good in the air! A decisive contributor. Lood and Steph are slow, ponderous, poor hands, no ability to read play, make all kinds of mistakes more often than not.

Roos Was physically blown away last year at test level. I'm not saying he cannot ever be good, but he has a lot to prove. Surrounding him with mediocre players won't help him.

May 26, 2023, 17:16

Wiese has the same pace as Alberts used to have - slow and lack of mobility.   Wiese is a strong carrier of balls in traffic - much like tight 5 players are capable of - he is not a factor in attack and too slow to defend outside of traffic area.

May 26, 2023, 17:17

Doos stop speaking utter shit - Wiese does not have good hands at all you are fucking delusional

The guy is a one trick pony, he is brawn and nothing else. He is effective brawn I give him that

But don’t expect him to be creative, run great lines, throw a great pass or attack space with pace and a step

The guy is all head down and bash and nothing else - if you don’t see that you are more rugby ignorant than I originally thought

Wiese in terms of physicality is the same as Marx, Bismark, the du Preez twins and de Allende - they carry defenders or bounce them on the charge.

It’s a strength of his as is anything involving being physical, clear outs, mauling, big hits - that’s all Wiese has to offer which is a positive

Roos on the other hand offers the complete package - he is very physical but equally gifted enough to attack space or throw a deft pass

Wiese is ahead of the pecking order right now only because Roos has been interrupted by injury

Long term Roos will leave Wiese in the dust

May 26, 2023, 17:41

I'll bookmark this page for future laughs. How many more poor calls are you going to make? Wiese has been one of the three best performing Boks. Roos hasn't done anything yet. Of course you'd bemoan a lack of creative running lines. That isn't what our loose forwards need to be. They are the template that the supposed creative players are supposed to work around! Wiese is skilled enough, and can operate perfectly well in a modern game plan. Roos not only hasn't shown up physically, but his supposed skills have been absent as well. All the highlights I have seen are of open field running after someone else breached the line. Candyfloss. This isn't something that can succeed at the top level. The same lessons are never learned. This is becoming rather repetitive.

May 26, 2023, 19:10

All Roos needs is more game time @ Bok level….he has all the necessary attributes to make a excellent 8 or 7 even….it rarely happens that a new bok plays brilliant Rugby at the beginning or right thru his whole career….. that, s why the combo of Kwagga, Roos and Wiese, makes perfect sense to me….Kwagga as a Ace Fetcher, Wiese with his Brutal Strength and Roos with his Flair…together in the Starting team, can only benefit the Boks and at the same time a Nightmare for any Opposition we face.

May 26, 2023, 19:30

"All Roos needs is more game time @ Bok level"

All Damian needed was more game time...

All Lambie needed was more game time...

All Mvovo needed was more game time...

All Kriel needed was more game time...

All Goosen needed was more game time...

All Lood needed was more game time...

All Jantjies needed was more game time...

All Steph needed was more game time...

All Watson needed was more game time...

All Kolisi needed was more game time...

All Pretorius needed was more game time...

All Olivier needed was more game time...

All Kankowski needed was more game time...

All Jacobs needed was more game time...

The list goes on and on and on...

This is how myths start. Heed the warning lest you too fall to it's siren song...

May 26, 2023, 19:58

All of those players had plenty of game time….not Roos tho….so you can’t compare them at all.

May 26, 2023, 21:25

Roos has yet to show any signs of being test worthy. The myth begins with ignoring the early signs.

May 26, 2023, 22:01

Ja ouDawie, lets field your backrow , all returning from serious injuries ............ then there's Snyman & Etzebeth, another two wounded warriors.

Thank gawd we'll have Mostert to the rescue.

May 27, 2023, 13:34

Wiese vs Dud Toit in the AB test we won last year. Another great Dud game…..3 runs for 3 metres and loses the ball once. He makes 2 passes the same as Wiese. Dud is a distributing 7 according to Clever….hahaha. Tackling he makes 8 tackles, Wiese 13.

In effect Dud did nothing in the 46 minutes he was on the park. Nor did Kolisi. Wiese wasn’t astounding but clearly more effective, ball in hand. We have two passengers at 6 and 7.
