didyou see what they said about DdA and AE? :-)
Seeing Roos in action week after week, give me Roos at 8 all day long
Roos could be an excellent loosie if he was playing to his strengths.
The form Venter is in, at almost 2m tall and 120kgs, bossing the field...that's the stuff Roos thinks he can do.
I like Roos, but he needs to play more of an agile loosie role and not the Hulky Hulkster cos he's just not that guy.
But then when you talk about agile loosies, Hanekom is better at that than Roos.
I'm starting to solidify the belief that Roos' niche might be as a hybrid.
Bullshit Venter has been disappointing since his breakthrough - Roos has been far more productive and a completely different player
Comparing them is ignorance
One is a physical bruiser with zero finesse the other is a prize athlete with plenty of his own physicality to add. Roos does both, he runs good lines, he adds value attacking, he scores tries and he adds value in contact. The perfect 8
Chalk and cheese - Roos is streets ahead of Venter not that they should ever be compared
There is no way Hanekom is more agile
Venter has been terrific so far this URC…..Roos is no power forward, he needs to play wider.
Bullshit has Venter been terrific you are lying - I bet you have not even watched him play
That is the biggest load of shit I have read in ages
Roos has plenty of power - he always makes metres in contact - powerful enough to play the wide game as he does and powerful enough to put his head down when he needs to
Literally the perfect 8 and if you don’t see that you are either blind or a rugby noob
The guy just keeps scoring tries
Dave the problem is thta som membes do not realize that loosies must be linked o backline attacking and defense strategy. That the coaching staff uses that a means to gain sueriorty ove oher backlines. Fpr tem any loosie should be ab extension of the Tight five - ie the typical White idiocy. It is what is called Dead Head rigby.
The present system ios way abov ehe undersanding of the site membeds hho comes up wih a st t ment reekibg with past rugby idead,
.
I have warmed to Wiese but he remains a one trick pony - head down and bash - he is effective at bashing
But the best 8’s ever are a combo of power and finesse - Read, Zinzane, Perrise, Big Joe, Skinstad, Doris etc
Roos, Hanekom and Manu Tsituka are this type of 8’s - give me that all day long over a powerful donkey
I’d only consider Wiese at 7 in my ideal Bok side with Roos at 8 and Hanekom at 6. But Wiese is not your typical 7 so it’s a tough one. He would give you the power required at 7 but not the line out option
As opposed to Dud Toit who is ineffective at bashing
Bullshit PSDT is very effective at bashing - just like Eben, Lood and RG are
33 WC runs 2 defenders beaten says you are full of it
Fuck me he not there to beat defenders - catch a bloody wake up

Video below - Note the discussion at (12:47) and how these guys also agree that Wiese is so ridiculously good right now that not Roose or Hanekom could get the jersey off him...and how Wiese just keeps getting better and better.
