Grant Williams is a weapon

Geez this guy is good, good in that he is a speed freak.

It was mentioned on the last EOYT that he was the fastest player in the squad and in some of the breaks and tries he has scored this year his speed has been there for all to see.

He leaves everyone for dust. His general game is good but it’s the fact that he adds that attacking option that makes him a must in the Bok squad

Williams is an attacking weapon, if he sniffs an opening he is gone and there is no catching him. Same holds true in defence, his cover defence has him easily haul in breakaway attackers

If we are only taking 2 scrumhalves to the WC then it has to be him and Faf - if it’s 3 we are taking then the 3rd choice would be between Hendrikse, Nohamba, Jantjies and Papier - the last 3 are in great form this season. Jantjies has rediscovered his mojo as has Papier

Dave

There always are three scrummies in the squad for the WC.   So they have 3 very good options to look at.

Yeah, when he came into the springbok squad with hardly any 1st class games I had so questions, but this season he has eclipsed Hendrikse.

Reminds me of a young Will Genia that could run length of the field. His services and kicking was solid over the weekend but his line breaking is next level. Reminds of Joost that could snipe. I really liked the way he set up the try as well as scoring a try.

Really valuable when you have a player like this that can stop the defence from not committing numbers to the ruck

Yeah he is a weapon a must for the Bok squad - a try scorer - a real attacking threat

Mike there is no such thing as must haves in terms of the WC squad make up, it’s purely down to what the coach wants

For me personally I’d pick 2 of each position and then 3 players regardless of position who just have to be in the squad

If any squad player gets injured they can be replaced so the need for 3 scrumhalves is certainly not a must

That disallowed try nearly killed me, he did the same break around 10 meter our and then got Van Rensburg to bust a tackle and score only for it to be called back due to poor clean out techniques.

That had no impact on the scoring. It wasn't even foul play, just poor technique.

Man these new rules are killing the game.

I like the Stormers game where there were 2 head contacts and the ref just said rugby incident, both players going for the ball, then in the Connacht game a player got stuff armed in the face and should have been a red which went unseen.

I really there should be a difference between foul play, spoiling the game, poor tackle techniques and off the ball incidents

He burned the opposing left wing last Saturday.
