Bulls should try get him although they have convinced Willie to stay as a flyhalf and fullback after his cameo at 10 in his last outing
But Willie is ancient now

Think he may end up playing in Japan after all. More money and less games per year played, Alternatively he may come to SA to continue his coaching prospects under Erasmus and only play enough rugby to continue playing for the Springboks as long as possible.
He’ll go to whomever pays the most, I guess.

Pollard contact will end this season at Leicester. He has produced some clutch moments for Leicester but not commanding as some flyhalf like Russel. Leicester is going through an identity crisis at the moment with so many coach changes and hanging on to glory days.
Pollard spent time at Montpellier and now at Leicester but for almost half of what he was being paid by the french.
I would love to see our best players back in SA, but out season and their ages doesn't really help to get proper breaks and playing time.
Back in the day when it was super rugby players would have the season to play into form and get rid of ring rust, but these days it is evidently much harder as many players go straight into test rugby after a lengthy injury.
That is why is would like to see Pollard go to Japan. The grounds are really good, less physical but still fast and hard to play.
Cheslin Kolbe is less impressive in Japan as their are many similar players to him. However, he is well looked after and still able to come into test rugby with no notable evidence lacking quality club matches. He also been around long enough to know what to expect from test. Now picking a player from that league that never played test rugby is another story.
So for me Japan makes sense for Pollard and any of our boks that had 20 test and close to 27.
We get our most experienced players rested and ready for the test season
