Except Hollie. Hollie is a bit of alright.

I was going to say, I thought you loved Hollie.
You were in my thoughts becs .... great game

Ref management is a skill poorly executed by the Bools today...Stormers adapted quicker after Sacha was penalized for complaining...Bools were in his ears too much, questioning everything...IMO they had the rub of the green at the start, but they started working on his nerves with their incessant whinging.
So basically the Bulls got on the ref’s nerves by questioning his calls, and that’s why things started going against them?
A referee is supposed to be impartial and apply the laws the same way the whole game.
A team is allowed to question decisions through the captain. The Bulls did not swear at the ref or abuse him.
By the way, this ref was not really good in his management of the game overall. Some of the infringements could have gone either way I think.
If a referee starts giving a team the short end of the stick just because they questioned him too much, then that’s bias.
The game must be called fairly no matter what. Otherwise the competition itself is not fair.
The penalty count was 16-7...or 70% to 30%.
There was a period where the Bulls had about 10 penalties against them in a row. That included some very dubious scrum penalties.
The ref lost the plot and destroyed the game.
Glad you enjoyed it, blob :)
Ja I don't like him much plum, but until Elon builds a good robot ref, we're gonna be stuck with human error and bias...I know how it feels when the whistle goes against you but yesterday the Bools lost their minds with some very poor discipline in the second half... unnecessary off the ball stuff...and yess M, the refs are supposed to be impartial, but unfortunately they are not robots and no human can be totally impartial...even when I watch a rugby match as a neutral, I find myself getting behind one of the teams and starts cheering them on... it's in our nature...refs are no different.
Don't be modest Plum - you hate eeerybody disagreeing w9th you.
No, Maaik...Plum is just passionate about how he sees things, like we all are ...he is one of a few on here who is prepared to substantiate his views... he's still not right about everything, but he's reasonable enough most of the time ... it's his few pet hates that irks you ..

Mike, the board has recently risen above this petty shit. Try to keep up.
this was a joke based onm you heading of the thread, Calm down.
Somebody needs to explain hinging to me.
...and perhaps also to refs.
I can't understand how, when the opposition prop is basically kissing his own knees, you penalise the other guy and say "You need to support your own body weight."
Like, is the guy meant to levitate!?
It happened in the Bulls game and I've seen it happen a good few times in other games over the last few weeks too.
To my eye, it's one of the easiest calls to make. Why? Well because if you have started folding but the other guy hasn't hit the ground yet then you are to blame.
Who knows, maybe it's more complicated than that. Perhaps some of the fetties here that played prop can explain it to me.
I get the human error thing Draad, but I can't remember a game where a team gets their fist penalty in a half after 33 minutes while the other side has eaten 10.
It's kind of off the charts. To the point where I can't recall it happening before.
And then this happens against a backdrop where the Stormers have been in terrible form and are playing away from home against the form side in the country who put 50 points on the Lions a few weeks back.
I dunno, stranger things have probably happened but, to my mind, it's mega dubious.
Also, Willie...jirre, can he hang up his boots already!?!?!?

Cool Mike, my bad.

I'd love to know how many of these scrum calls are actually correct. I'd venture about 30%. I can't make sense of it anyway.
Also, Willie...jirre, can he hang up his boots already!?!?!?
Ja fok, the guy can't run at full pace for more than 20m anymore.
Ag, ou Mike, I know you bleed for WP.
I respect it.
I do not - I lived in Kwazulu-Natal for 50 years and was a stroong Sharks supporter for that whole time until 2014. left KZN n 2015 and moved to Riversdale where I was borne and grew up. Peaceful place,
I support all SA tams - but am very critical of issues hent ehy play each ther,
I want to giv you a few examples in the matches in thiss eries thsus far this seson. , I blamed the Bulls and Sh rks for losses iro backline play Th stromers was shoit in th eir ball sills and hndling in their last three matches, Recenrtly I supported the Lions after they played the fool with the Sharks and Stormers,
"It's kind of off the charts. To the point where I can't recall it happening before."
Go look at the penalty count for and against the Lions in SR at Ellis park in their golden years... especially vs NZ opponents....but the Bools lost their marbles ... would like to watch the match again, because that penalty count doesn't look normal
BTW, I hate those scrum penalties too...something needs to be done about it.
Plumpster you have to understand if you keep infringing you will keep getting penalized.
The poor Bulls got beaten up in the scrum, in the mails and eventually didn't know whether they were Arthur or Martha. They imagined they were a tough outfit and found themselves getting bullied by the Mighty Stormers. Consequently they lost their wee minds!
Face facts Plumpster all your snide remarks before the match came home to bite. Hahahahahaha.
By the way it's all very strange on the board these days. I get a warning from Rooitwit about something, not sure what it was about. Then I see Rooitwit being ever so polite to mozzietard! Rooitwit even congratulated the Mighty Stormers on the win against the Bulls.
Then we have that highly dubious rugby analyst Pakster saying I thought we had risen about that sh*t. (Is foul language still allowed?
Was some pact agreed upon?
What in the world is going on?
The Lord has entered our hearts, Beeno. Even ou Rooitwit's.
Just roll with it, Beeno
Go and read Rooi's post entitled 2026 if you'd like to know what has set the current tone on the board.
The other thing that has made an impact is that people aren't being called cunts or ignorant pricks and told to fuck off for having opinions on rugby.
And, because I know you probably haven't been watching but look out for Ruan Venter this year, he's looking beastly.
