It seems from a recent report that a new Guinness Top 16 is on the cards with the Kings and Cheetahs be replaced by the Sharks, Bulls, Stormers and Lions. The matter is to be finalized in March and I think the season will start earlier in 2021 than used to be the case.
The situation basically is that the Franchises will have tot rim their squads and som player movement will occur between the franchises.
I do not think that Wales and Italy will have enough clout to stop the competition expansion.
That may be the death of Super Rugby and one could hope that there should be another to teams admitted to the Guinness tournament - namely the Jaguares and a combined Cheetahs and and Kings team.
Wonder what will happen to the Rugby Championship though,
The poor old kiwis may as well take up netball!
Ou JW won't mind as long as the lads still do the hahahahaka!
