Don't think I want him near the Stormers, he has had his time. I do understand as a father he wants to be with his kids and that is really admirable. Not sure why his ex wife couldn't stay in Durban, but perhaps the support of her family and the fact the Kolisi is most of the time travelling abroad to play rugby.

He is coming to the end of his rugby career now. I would almost have said it is probably better if he retires given he will be 35 and already won two world cups. This will enable him to be with his kids.

A win win for the stormers would be if he does retire from the boks and only say to the Stormers he wants to limit his international travel and only play at home.

He has been okay at the Saarks and even got on the the scoreboard. But he is not an opensider. He has always been a small blindside flank that is more attack minded.

Sharks must feel they wasted a lot of money on Kolisi

It does not look as if Kolisi willa ctually play rugby for the Stormers - but rathr monitor and ide he younger forwards the Stormers if the followin g is borne in mind:-

"REACTION: Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson believes Siya Kolisi’s experience and knowledge will be invaluable in the years to come.

Kolisi will make his return to the Stormers in July 2026 from the Sharks and fulfil an important role mentoring the next generation as the franchise continues to build the squad’s depth and maturity as part of Project 2029.

“We have got an outstanding crop of loose forwards in our squad and a number of very strong young leaders, with the last three Junior Springbok captains all on our books,” said Dobson.

“Siya will be able to help develop these players and mentor them in a way that nobody else could, given what he has achieved and what he represents to all South Africans and especially our fans.

“We are very aware of the load that he has carried professionally and personally over the last few years, but what is so encouraging is the way that he has bought into helping us reach the goals we have set for ourselves in developing our squad as we build towards Project 2029.”
