Let's hope it's alright.
Let's hope it's alright.
Lions about 10m in front of the kickoff but we're off.
Lions leak a penalty on attack and Brumbies can clear.
Dyantyi actually caught a high ball. Must be a good omen.
Potential tip tackle on Marx. I'd say let it go.
Officials go for yellow. Not a good start for the Brumbies.
Ref breathing through his whistle at the moment.
Dyanti scores as Beeno tunes in is that a coincidence Pakster!
Try Lions through Dyantyi.
No coincidence, it's all you Beeno.
Jantjies haven't noticed your presence, Beeno.
Ref Rasta has been tough on players not releasing on the ground.
Notice that Pakster. Anyhow glad you cleaned your act up and are back on track thanks to ED
Lions need to right the ship.
Brumbles fluff their penalty touch kick and Lions can scrum on the penalty spot.
Ref gets fedup with the teams not knowing how a scrum works and Brumbles get a free kick. They opt for some more scrumming practice. Ref rolls his eyes.
Lots of grunting and shouting but no scrum yet.
Heck another scum penalty against the Lions. Oh for the days of Redlinghuys !
Penalty now to the Brumbles. Have another scrum, lads!
Lions steal the Brumbles lineout and clear to just outside the 22.
Bit of a bore so far.
Rasta gives another scrum penalty hope all this BS stops. Lets have some real rugby oaks!
i know h ow Cloudy loves us whipping thew Ozzies!
Scrum penalty to the Lions this time. They clear to just inside the Brumbles half.
Coetzee smashes a grubber into touch. About the most commitment we've seen all game, the effort he put into that kick.
Brumbles now ripping the Lions open out wide and they eventually rumble it over .
Brumbies score. Lions forwards lack the sort of authority the Mighty S tormers have. CC would have to concede that!
Brumbies lead 7-5.
Lilililiffafafano converts. 7-5.
Bad knock on by Brums in front of their posts. Lions must strike!
Brums drop it cold, Lions have an attacking scrum 15 m out middle of the field.
Ref blows the penalty before the locks even get a chance to tickle the front rows' balls.
Lions get penalty. Have to take the three points and regain lead. All these penalties spoiling the game.
Pakster dozing off!
Jantjies converts the penalty, 8-7 Lions.
Tom Banks giving the Lions some trouble from fullback.
Lions go for the intercept and leaves all sorts of overlaps. Pulu sprints in down the touchline.
Brumbies backs lot more skillful as a unit than Lions they are able to create space and score again.
Lions are not the team they were. Can they compete?
Brumbies lead by 6
Haha Beeno just give me a sec still trying to get over the Blues loss. Great game the old man getting 2 tries but arrrgghh!!!!
Lilililifano converts from the touchline, 14-8 Brommies.
Sorry about the loss Cloudy but with da Blues it cant be unexpected.
Another penalty at the breakdown for not rolling away.
Anyhow loss by 4 points to Chiefs not too bad Cloudy.
Commiserations, Cloudy, and hello .
Brumbies failing to use big numbers to the right but you sense it's ju st a matter of time before the try comes.
Banks again making good yards.
Penalty Lions and Jantjies gets them out of trouble briefly. Eye gouge by double agent Jantjies on his own player.
With the Blues it’s always preparing for the best but expecting the worst. I’m seldom disappointed I’ve had seasons of practise.
Kia Ora Pakie :)
Seems to me that Marx has an excellent game, but thats it. Rest are poor to average.
Lions don't really know what to do with the ball.
Very un-sportsman like booing from the crowd with that knock on.
Another scrum, whoopee. LOL, and immediately a free kick.
Combrink shows good turn of pace up right wing
It's called motivati on, Cloudy.
A try results from Marx’s knock on
Lions turn it over and we go downtown. Brumbies somehow recover it at the breakdown and Kuridrani strolls over..
Lions near Brums line but lose ball and Brums score. Man that could be it. Lions have a huge mountain to climb.
Pretty crappy tackle attempt from Jantjies. Double agent colors showing through. Or he was channeling his inner Naas Botha.
Rather pretty interviewer. I wouldn't be in too much of a rush for the dressing room either if I was Mccaffrey.
Fair to say then that the Lions didn't get the rub of the green in that first half.
Concentrate Pakie....we all depend on your commentary skills :)
(She’s probably muttering under her breath ‘he needs a shower’)
A successful scrum at last.
Bit more fire from the Lions even if they don't get all that far.
Great scrum Lions. Brums running out of trickery!
And another scrum penalty against the Brumbies.
Jonker off, clearly did too well in that scrum for the coach's taste. Sadie on.
Certain try fluffed by L ions as Combrink breaks well and fluffs pass!
Jantjes pi cks up steps and scores superb try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How would J anjtes go at inside center oaks?
Nice pass to nowhere picked up by Jantjies who runs through to get some of the suspicion off him after that eye gouge on Mapoe and tap on the back for Kuridrani as he scored.
He wouldn't, Beeno.
Another breakdown penalty quickly taken by Naude. Could have been a potential 3 pointer for the Lions.
Eh, I'm getting confused between the Lions and the Brumbies now. Time for my pills.
Jantjes would only have to prove that his defence is up to it. His defence is not as bad as some make out and there are a number of other positives as he i s a playmaker.
Lions have some sting in their defense now. But they run out of men eventually and Banks scores a well deserved try.
Lililililifano tries to hit his granny in the corner of the stands with conversion and it remains 24-15.
Mahuza's first impact on the game is to concede a penalty.
Lions backs are simply too poor!
Cracking break by Wright and he sprints through for great t ry.
The wild horses is too wild for the mild kittens tonight.31-15....20 to go.
Conversion good this time after an evil eye from granny Lilililifano, 31-15 Brommies.
Lions keep playing back into traffic instead of looking for gaps and the inevitable turnover comes.
Pap Lions forwards dominated at ruck.
What a shame the Lions have declined so much. Groom outplayed by live wire brums scrumhalf.
Well at least Dyantyi has caught every high ball that's been kicked his way.
Jantjies kicks the penalty dead. Bringing down the system from within.
There is no drawing the man by the Li ons backs. Pass up at next guys head.
Brumbies muck up an overlap by dropping the ball.
Wright again with a strong break only to lamely kick it away.
Pakster the Lions have a few good players but not enough.
Lions players don't seem to be reading each other. Another pass falls into empty space.
Yeah but they keep looking for contact as well Beeno, it doesn't look like they're trying to identify weaknesses in the defense. Just bashing away.
Great try Lions much better peri od of play.
10 tackle busts and 95m for Wright, he's been good.
And finally the Lions get it wide and score in the corner through Mahuza. Brumbies a bit asleep there.
Jantjies earning his Aussie dollars tonight with another missed conversion.
More passes above head height from the Lions, they need to be more accurate than that. Brumbies turn it over.
Horrendous pass by Dyanti after some good clean up work. .
Kuridrani almost through, good tackle from in front by Dyantyi.
Kuridrani has quietly made 102m.
And we get to witness the horror of another Lions/Brommies scrum again.
Immediate free kick yet again.
I think the Lions got sidetracked by that interviewer lol
Lions finding some space wide but loses the ball. Mapoe should have looked for the pass there.
Probabaly why they're passing so high Cloudy, their eyes keep scanning the stands
Lions have improved wi th Cronje coming on.
Well there you go....I’m back for a few seconds and the Lions score. No need to thank me Beeno :)
The ball barely makes it out of that scrum aliv e.
Lions destroyed in the scr um.
Almost a runaway try for the Brumbies but he was offsid e.
They cough the ball up silly stuff.
Pakie you got that gorgeous girl that’s the physio for the Boks. Is she still their rub-a-dub-dub ?
And all over 31-20 Brumbies.
Well lions had a better last 20 minutes apart from to shocking passes. says a lot for their fitness. First game of tour after long light always hard but one suspects they don't have the personnel. We shall see.
No idea if she's still got the job Cloudy, but she i s rather fine.
Nice job if you can get it haha
Are the Lions top of the SA table?
Cloudy can we di scuss that on Beeno's esteemed Trumpet if you must!
The Stormers win and the Lions lose it’s been a funny old round this one. Probably tripped up a few.
Nup Beeno it’s far too good for a trumpet but thanks for the hint.
Sorry the Lions didn’t win but enjoy the rest of the ruggers:)
Dark days ahead for the Lions. Their best player, Marx, is due for a rest and their remaining overseas games are against the Chiefs and the Crusaders.
They have problems as is shown by their loss against the Bulls.
There main problems are with their locks, loosies and backline - the real problem starts with Jantjies.
