Fuck sake

Sep 22, 2024, 00:06

For of Manie.

May he never play for the boks again. What an easy kick.

He doesn't have what it takes. There is Jaden Hendrikse sinking a 60 m kick in the curry cup final and here comes Manie with his fancy play and can't do the basics

Sep 22, 2024, 00:11

But but but the no look kick against Scotland!

Sep 22, 2024, 00:15

Ouch.

Good ball player. Shit kicker for poles.

I don’t know what to say right now.

I hate cursing players for making mistakes. It isn’t like he’s trying to make a mistake.

Truth is, the coach needs to be held accountable too.

He should have started with Pollard to close out. But as I said earlier in the week, if he can't make those kicks, he has no future as a test flyhalf. Close the chapter, cast the net wider. When it comes down to it he's a small guy who will have trouble defending his channel if they run big blokes at him like we saw against France, and he doesn't have the boot to win you tight games.

Just a question how amny balls that went to Libbok he kicked away aimlessly - basically handover of possession,.   He did a Morne on us too - missed a corner penalty kick badly.    When Libbok placed to kick that last penalty miss - Erasmus got up and walked away - not wanting to see what was coming.

I have a feeling that we will not see Libbok again in the Springbok squad,   Too major mistakes and 6 minor ones are just 8 too many.

I think Libbok will be next on the shit list same as Esterhuizen and Faf already are.

Libbok certainly had an impact, just not a good one. It wasn't as if Pollard was in great form either, but Libok nullified even that.

There are repetitive cases by Pollard that is not acceptable and that is he is making bad mistakes when covering kicks by opposng tems and when he does he is slow in geting to the ball and what he came up with is often derimental to the team.

He seems to be slow and clumsy as to what happened in such cases.   It happened in the final in 2019 when he was penalized and the English kicker mssed h kick at goal - it happend a few times subsequently and it happened again yesterday before he was replaced.

For me that indicate that even when he in 2019 in top form  - it is an indication that his game is going backwards and not forward.    His goalkicking  is normally very god - th rest o his game is not on a level it used to be.

Without Shaca we hav a persiten problm with back-up flyhalfss I am afraid.     .

It’s easy to blame Manie, but fact is the team as a whole collapsed and played negative Rugby. And I agree Chippo the coaching staff should also be held accountable.

How is it possible for a winning team to fall so starkly in performance and just doing the basics wrong??

Kinda funny how Manie is being singled out when there  are other players who are equally guilty I mean is he alone responsible for losing the game........eg how bad were Marx's lineout throws and for how long has it been awful? But then going all the way to Rassie for appointing Moerat as captain? A really poor choice, the team was rudderless under his captaincy. As for the team, they didn't look like world champions and who's to say that it's Browns fault and not the players?

Denny

I gave a list of rankings and  Mnaie ad sme serious companions who failed as well.

Erasmus was playing a lot of players in the  tournamnt and oftn played differen players in various positios in the series,

What went ong was the leading player in the backline  (De Allende) and forwards (Du Toit)  were  missing and the rest bascally have off days in the office,    The other problem was that the players thougt SA has already won the RC tournament  and they just did  not give the maximum efforts needed. to win the match,

Mert is by a dstance not good enough to be in th team - but appointing him as captain was just about the wrst decision ever by Erasmus.    I think Libbok and Moerat will be next on the shit list - same as Esterhuizen and Faf already are.

Manie is being singled out because he failed to do what was easy.

Marx missed some throws, but the receivers are also blame...lineouts are a group effort.

But yeah, Wiese gave away silly penalties, some forwards were invisible...it was a shyte all round performance.

But 10 is a pressure position and Manie has shown that he can't handle the heat. And that puts him out of contention because we don't need him anywhere else. We don't need wingers, 15s or 13s.

So if Manie can't handle the pressure of kicking...what other role can he play in the side?

Moerat is straight up horrific and I don't think anybody knows why he's even there.

Sep 22, 2024, 13:08

Yes Manie cannot kick to save his life….but the damage was done long before he came onto the field…..horrific defence, line out, discipline and basic structures, let us down badly.

Another important part is that the attitude of this team reflects their leadership …yet again you guys don’t see the shortcomings of the coaches.

Bad player selection, downfall in our defence structures, the ability to think on our feet and to read the opposition attack moves thru astute positional play, our lack of loosies that can actually perform at break Downs and effect turnovers.

Our scrum power that is not as strong as it’s supposed to be etc etc.

Mpower

I differ from you in a way from your ideas on the isue of Libbok.    Part of the problem is that when under prssure in all codes of sport is that  pressure they collapse mentally and that is folowed by physical collapse.   If the Sringboks was aheadd at thats atge of the game - the kick is likely to be converted - but being a point behind the pressure sent Libbok into panic mode and mental and subsequent physical malfunctioning is inevitable,

The difference is some sportsmen can handle such situations - others can't

I think Rassie might be looking for another black guy to take over the captaincy from Kolisi.

Politically it takes a lot of heat off the Boks and gets them a lot of support in South Africa.

So far Moerat does not look the part.

Moerat is 6 ft 6 and 116 kg.

Sep 22, 2024, 21:36

De Viliers who have close contact wirh  Erasmus is probably right,  Shaca will take over the captaincy sooner rather than later,   Shaca was captain of the Under 20 team and that would count heavily in his favor.    Another player could be Willemse.

I d not tink that Moerat was really a serious candidate for him to show leaderhip and he failed bad;y./   In Moerat's case it was an experiment that failed badly.   ,

Yep after that Manie is toast - that kick was straight forward

Earlier he fucked up the penalty kick to the corner as well

Other takeaways from that game was closure on Am being played at 12 - he has no impact there and was off the pace defensively as was Jessie

v Staaden was shit, he is not test material - he is slow to react and his missed tackle lead to one of the Argie tries

With Libbok done at test level and Sacha injured it will be interesting to see who the bench 10 will be on Saturday

My guess is that it will be Jordan Hendrikse after his monster kick to win the CC for the Sharks

Outside bet would be Masuku - I’d go with Hendrikse - great allround player and only 23
