I thought he was excellent.

Pakie mentioned that his kicking wasn't great. I agree but the nice thing is that box kicks are of the easier skills to get better at.

As for everything else he was doing, I was very happy with him. He forced the tempo and makes very good decisions about who to pass to and times his passes nicely. There were a good few occasions where he made a little dart specifically to buy sometimes to put a forward into space, and it worked almost without fail. He's exactly the type of 9 we need.

Watching him today, you realise how am much a guy like Jayden stunts momentum. Williams is slightly different in that he is just as snappy but prefers working directly from the base as opposed to using a bit of movement to before he passes.

I think we're good for 9s.

Agree Plum….I’m guessing Rassie sees him as a Faf type of player. The choice of him and Williams going forward give us 2 good but different options

His box kicks were horrible, but the conditions were really bad....the rest of his game was toppp notch, so I would like to see him in the green again.

I just really appreciated the tempo, Draad.

Like a heavy rock rolling down hill. It's gonna do the most damage if allowed to pick up speed.

From what I can see, Williams looks more suited to getting the backs going while VDB is excellent and allowing the forwards to rumble forward.

For my money, that's a perfect combination. Start with the pack in tue first half and let them grind the opposition down and then bring Williams on to free up the backs in the last 3rd of the game.

I've always been a massive Faf fan but I'd be surprised if he manages to outperform either Williams or VDB.

Father time is such a cruel mofo.

Quite honestly, I found him bog boring to watch.

In a game against the Barbarians, I'd expect him to play with some flair in a game like that!

Yes big fan of his - plenty of energy - definitely a Faf clone - him and Williams are definitely our best 2 with Papier 3rd
