Mostert was never the first choice lock of  Erasmus or the coaches selecting  the team - he was mostly a bench player wh en De Jager and Snyman was not available was when he was selected.  to start in the team.   The man is no factor in breakdown ball protection and because of his comaratively light weight was never a factor in other fucntions of lock play other than line-outs where he was easily lifted because of his comparatived l ight weight.
