It is a school and not [art of Oxford University. - at is a very expensive school and to get into the final 2 years at the school it cost 250 pound a year and require that boys have at least 5 A+ subjects as a requirrement for admission/ On te internet they give rugby as ther main sport item = hence my question to Dave/
In the UK in some schools and UMoversities school children and stidents can undergo military training and are then registered woth the UK army as oficers in training, Radley is one of the schools where that happen and, srudents fo to Sandhurst to complete their officer training,
Seems to me that it is mentally and physically a very difficult school to get into and that physically a very tough school as well.
Yes, Mike, they play a lot of Rugby at Radley but Rowing is the main sport at the school.

Wonder what their first rugby rteam looks like, I red sewhere that James = Earl of Wesex the youngest grandson of Qieen Elizabeth is at that College and that he may be in the rugby team since their is close ties with his niece Zara Tindall in real life,

S ory I am wrong - the sch ool only have 3 and not 4 terms pe ryear and the charges are circa 150 000 piounds a year which is circa $NZ300 000 a year, During one of the tems they play rugby and regularly field 25 full teams on Saturdays. or even on hirsdaysm - making rugby the main sport every year, dyring simmer term thet play cricket and paticipate in rowing and and in what they the Autumn term they hey play soccer - with 11 teams involved,
No Mike they don’t feature regularly as one of the top rugby schools but I think that had a good year this year
My son is head of rugby at Ipswich School and they ended 4th overall in England which is pretty awesome considering 12 of his starters are under 17

Yep, they did very well, Saffolk :)
They had some big boys in their side, but surprisingly my boys side kicked their arses in the scrum
They were far smaller being mostly a year younger but his boys have to dog in them they are as tenacious as fuck
Just have to hope for greater things this year.
Well he had little expectation of last season given how young his side is so the expectations are high for the next season especially with the addition of some boys on rugby scholarships
Still got to beat the mighty NSB though ;)
He said they were made up of mostly 18 year olds this season and that his u16 side thumped them two seasons ago so he plans to make sure his boys kick their arses next season

Thefact is that NZ needs a better school rugby development program or they will go down in future,
The fact is that rugb required that school players essenetially must have a disciplined approach and rugby requires a real appreciationn of pride in hmselves and in their schools. Rugb is a physical demanding sport and he present Woke culture destroy the future of rugby as a sport,
INM SA over R3 billion is spent anually on school rugby development, That ind of funding came frrom local businesses. Take for instance Oakdale High School, They have 25 local business sponsers. Some of this are wealthy business inan area with a sound local economy, No ANC to destroy the local community, The parents of children and ex-pupils also contribute to tehe school sport fundind. In teh major sport schools in SA discipline and moral standardds stil play a majr role.
In NZ the base of rugby develpment is destroyed locally. While the same applies to Australia - they ahve a much larger population and thus more children t form the base ofr rugby development ahead of NZ.
That is why private schools in the UK is from a rugby a certain basis fr rugby and other sport development - in most other countries int ehw prld an especially in he USA it does not happen.
Nayve Trump's po;icy f alloing SA pople to move in large numbers to the USA may help in some way to draw more people into playing rgby as a sport. I can see that Trump policy being expanded to the Colored communiy as well - they ar irse off under the present ABC Government as well and may also qualify to move to he USA as well.
My Niece's tow choldren are gone already - one is a chartered accountant in London - the oth er an electrician in the Netherlands, My brother's grandson is stil at Oakdale but the father is a UK citizen aleedy - he wons a house and flat in Ese and moved back to SA to let his son to complete his schooling in Oakdale and a fter that to go to Stellenbosch Unoversity - but I anot see them remaining in SA after that.
I woll gove you two examples where the difference is evident, My cousins have to sell there homes to move in elderly care centers. My one in Pretoria is selling his 5 bedroom home in Pretoria by aucttion and hope to get R1 500 000 for it, His sister sold her bedroom home in iversdale for R1 800 000.
My own home in Riewesadakw I bought in 2015 for R910 000.
