Need to get centers that can pass and judge when to pass. Kriel was put in space time and again only to die with the ball more often than not. Agree with Dave, we need Am's finesse.

Yes Am is next level - has skill and rugby smarts
Kriel is good but a little robotic. He does a job but it’s not pretty
A while ago I spoke to Rob Louw abouit Erasmus and he told me Erasmus was the second best coach SA ever had. The best coacxh he ver came acrfoos wass Dr Craven - who coached rthe Maties team he played in.
In the late 1970's there was an annual club rugby championship ov er Easter Weekends in Durban. My parents were cloe friends of the Louws - they went camp[ing in Still Bay caravcan Park for 36 years and hired te same camping sites a year in advance next to each other. In 1977 my mother told me that Rob said he would like to see me so I went to the Bendigo Hotel where the team was staying - but the Maties team wass nowhre to be seen, They were playing that day against the Tukkies in the final.
A collegue of mine whose daughter was the girlfriend of Chris Faure - the Tukkie captain at the time was chatting with him and there was also a verfy shy and silent 19 year old Naas Botha around. So after about an hour the lift doors open and out walked Dr Craven followed by Jan Boland Coetzee. Dr Craven came over and said to Chris F aurfe that his team was weakened by njuries and he even ahd to fly a hostel team center to play - Tukkies woulkd havbe the easiest final they ever had.
I walked up to talk to Rob Louw aand he was literally shivering. He said that Doc Craven talked to ewach payer individually for at least 5 minutes and that they were off to train on field so he could not talk to me for long.
Needless to say hyped up as they were the Maties beat the Tukkies 27-6 that day and ads one famous imcident when Naas saw Rob coming for him he knocked on the ball behind the tryline and the Maties scored one of their tries. It must have beern 30 years afterf thatn incidednt Naas and Rob were on a TV rugbny discussion program and that incident was shown and both burst out laughing.
So back to present timess Rob told me that Dr Craven had the ability to get a weakened team to win matches and the only other coach he saw that could do that was Erasmus - beariung in mind the situastion in the 2023 WC he was 100% correct.

Yes we can see Brown is trying to develop our attack….now Rassie has time to develop our player depth and the sooner it happens, the better it will be.
Mike
Did Rob Louw take you seriously?
Never fear folks.....Mozart is starting so at least we will have someone in the squad who can catch, jump and cover for #6.

"But against a team of that quality, I hope people can see we are trying to develop our attacking game. There will be mistakes and a lack of cohesion, but it will come," Erasmus said.

Sounds good to me.
