Sharks a disgrace

What a shocking performance against a Leinster B side that excluded class acts Jordie at 12 and RG at lock who were thorns in the Bulls side last week.

Our SA sides right now are in shocking form - I’ve only seen the Sharks and Stormers this weekend thus far and it’s been downright pathetic

It’s time for new coaching input for our provincial sides - Dobson, Plumtree and White are stale

I agree with you about the above, I think replacement of Dobson and Plumtree is long overdue, The funders of the Bulls - Rupert and Motsepe - must by now be totall frustrated by the perfomance of the Bulls and get as more capable ru gby management and coaching than White provides. It not only undermines the players it undermines team perfomances and the missing element is ball skills of players,

Take for instance Julius - a promising player - in being jeopardized by his backline teammates that is clear. Examples were Hoker and Esterhuizen. Both are not inside center players and lack the ability to help the Sharks backline from functiong properly, The flyhalf position in the Bulls and Sharks are also pivot-less - so fro an attacking perspective the backlines do not unction properly, In the case of the Stormers discipline is poor as well. I believe Ackerman should be moved to take over the Stormers and in the case of the Sharks and Bulls younger and more progressive leadership is essential as well.

Well, you can't have Dinosaurs coaching today's talented potential stars. Yesteryears coaches wouldn't know what's hit them.

Denny

At last we agree on something - and in this case you are 100% correct,

Better not check the result of the Lion's game.

Is Plumtree done? He was not very successful when he returned to New Zealand, and only seemed to be in jobs for a short period of time

The Sharks are totally rudderless. Either the game plan is poor, or the players just don't understand it.

A factor beyond coaching - other than player selection- is that South African teams have too many forwards who are ball carriers and not enough fetchers. At the very least, the number 6 must be an out-of-out fetcher who is frequently the 1st, 2nd or 3rd player to a ruck to either slow down opposition possession or speed up ball retention for their team.

It is not just about turnovers, it is about competing at every ruck. There are something like 200 rucks every game, so winning this facet of play is often the difference between winning and losing

Opposition teams are getting too much clean ball from the ruck while slowing down SA teams' ball.

SA teams get slow, messy ball at the ruck, making it hard to get a phase game going to make space before going wide.

Best Sharks player yesterday was Esterhozen, by a mile. That pick up off his toes at pace was the high point of the game and he showed some real power with the ball in hand.

Mozat is always wrong in anything about Rugby or for that case in other sports as well. Like Djokkovic last night losing against Mensik = Esterhuissen was part and parcel of a losing team and one incident that produced nothing was now the world wonder in rugby - which he was NOT,

LOL...Saffa's bashing their own teams seems like the national sport of South Africa.

None Saffa has a joke about one of the South African franchises...Saffa's how dare you as they grab a pitch fork!

Exactly.

Finally, we're on the same page.
